sometimes, even though blair is my number one gg baby, always, flawless queen of morally dubious queens, i remember serena and i can understand why blair always thought herself second best

one of the all time top sentences i ever read was a fic, dan's pov which started with "fucking serena vanderwoodsen is like fucking a dream" and serena is soooo a dream, always. too beautiful and too tragi to be real, the girl with the sun in her eyes and her eyes set on the sun, always falling love with things and always letting them break them anew, like she forgets each time what heartache is. the whiny girl, always restless and carefree and broken and looking for pieces of herself in all the wrong places

the show should've treated her so much better, tbh, it should have kissed the ground her high heels stormed through.

Oh I love everything about this! The AU and Serena's tragic flaw (which is so her tragic flaw, she falls in love with everything but she can never hold onto it), and her different companions. I love that Blair was her first companion and that helped shape who Serena was and how she held hands with each of them differently.

And OF COURSE she forgets what the error is. Of course she does. Serena never remembers what heartbreak feels like until its happening again.

I JUST LOVE IT ALL.
