Like a half hour after posting I went back to put a trigger warning on the link-post because I realized (a) Dawn nearly let a vamp kill her girlfriend JUST FOR THE SAKE OF KNOWLEDGE and (b) Dawn and her girlfriend beat a guy to death and then had sex next to the dead body... and I really felt for a minute there that I was making some truly terrible life choices. Except it all worked for me and it was all necessary?!
and that its actually easier for Thea in some ways than Dawn. Monsters have existed to her for a long time, now their just taking a new form, an actual monster form. And with Dawn its different, its reality setting in that people are monsters too. The part she and her family tries to forget. One of my biggest issues with BtVS - but MORESO WITH ATS THE WHITE MALE SAVIOR CASTING JUDGEMENT ON IMMIGRANT 'DEMONS' AND BASICALLY JUST PROTECTING A STATUS QUO WHERE HE HAS POWER - is that it puts too much emphasis on the metaphor and doesn't look at the reality? even when the reality (Kendra and Faith as 'lesser Slayers' to a white woman b/c of their (a) race or (b) class) (XANDER) is shoving problems in their face all the time? It's one of the reasons why I wrote your gods and your heroes a while back. Basically Dawn rescues Cordelia from being a PTB and then while Illyria is off fighting monsters and PTB, the two of them start fighting the man and begin protecting humans from humans - because that's the real battle. Anyway, I wanted a touch of that here, because I think Merlin would change Dawn's perspective more than vampires would really change Thea.
And Buffy would totally kick Oliver's ask. lol. She so would. And make-out with either Felicity or Laurel or both and with the one it would be sugary-sweet and with the other it would be angry shouting first but either way it would be delicious
And she gets that. She had that. Only Malcolm she gets to hit and kick, something physical for her to show him what he's done. I love that you saw that for Dawn, Malcolm stands in a bit for the monks. It's always about Thea - she'll always tell herself it's about Thea - but it's also really, really about herself.
And Oliver looking at her questionably but all her allegiance is to Thea and that won't change. Dawn is such a Hufflepuff omg

well if your making terrible life choices, then so am I because I read them without hte warnings and I loved it. and it all made sense in my head and seemed you know, reasonable for the fic. so again, we're making terrible life choices together if their terrible. :D
Obviously I have to read this fic. I mean the fact taht it has Dawn, Cordy, and Illyeria alone. But yes, defenitely bookmarking.

see this is why you should totally write more crossovers with these two and then add in buffy and your awesome shipping taste. :D

I so loved that part. I loved that they were connected that way long before they even knew it and could understand these parts of each other without ever having to really talk about it. It was just known. And I love that Dawn was all about Thea, but there was the moments with Malcolm that it was all about herself, and she knows that but would never admit it.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! AND AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU FILLED MY THEA/DAWN PROMPT/DREAMS. ;D
