OH THIS SHOW it's actually saying things i never thought it would say, because of course elena's more like damon than stefan. i thought for a second that hallucination!Damon would start going on about how bad Elena wants him, but NO. it's interesting though, because i actually think Elena's a lot like Stefan as well as Damon. but i love that both Damon (last episode) and Elena (… in her subconscious mind) have expressed the idea that they're kindred spirits. WHICH JUST GOES TO SHOW.

he sort of starts and it seems dramatic but it's really not our usual damon-putting-on-a-show like one of the bestest scene ever with him pretending he can't button his shirt in mid season 1. this is two seasons later, and he's stuck with taking care of the kids and hunters and his brother and his brother's girlfriend and he promised to leave and he intended to and he's still somehow here and elena wants things from him and it's so very tiring, all of it.
