I have an emergency doctors appointment for my evil hand in half an hour. I always knew it was hand eczema, what with it being eczema and on my hands, but I think I've narrowed it down to Pompholyx

It's never been as bad as these last few weeks though and this morning I lost mind over the itching and went berserk on it.

The result?

A hand a can

My dad had something like that years ago, and went to all sorts of doctors and tried many things. None of them worked. Then he tried Bag Balm, a lanolin based ointment used on cow udders, and never had a problem again. (And he's a scientist, not a farmer, so trust me when I say he tried everything else first.) It works wonders at preventing chapped lips, too, if you can stand the taste. It's sold in a green tin and can be found in feed stores all over the US. If you can get it, it's well worth trying.

Thanks for the tip. I've had a look online and the closest I can find around here is an udder cream but I guess its the same sort of thing. If the prescribed cream doesn't do the trick I'll go buy some of that.
