Okay, so I know it's not Christmas yet (as evidenced by the fact that I have as yet to sight the 'Holidays are coming' Coca-Cola advert - I refuse to acknowledge Christmas until I've seen the advert, damnit!), but for some very strange reason (possibly due to my flatmates and I going slightly OTT with spray snow on the living room windows over the weekend!) I'm feeling all Christmassy and have a total urge to buy presents, write Christmas cards and listen to Christmas music.
Especially that last one. I don't understand it. This morning I was quite happily listening to KT Tunstall. This afternoon I have a craving for Christmas music - so I listened to Fairytale of New York and All I Want For Christmas Is You before I decided that what I really, *really* wanted to listen to was, in fact, an old-fashioned brass band playing Christmas carols. Specifically, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Ding Dong Merrily On High and Come All Ye Faithful. Oh, and O Holy Night.
And now I want my piano and my Christmas carols music book. *le sigh* And to be at home, decorating the house with Mum and the cat, baking Christmas cookies, watching Christmas films... and, of course, listening to the Salvation Army brass band playing Christmas carols outside the supermarket.
Will be home this time next month :) Much as I love Uni, I'm really looking forward to a little break (yes, I'll have to revise madly but I won't have lectures, practicals, cooking, cleaning, laundry or anything to worry about!).
I can't wait for Christmas right now! Am going to go mad on iTunes finding Christmas songs (any recommendations?!) and then do more work on the essay!!!
I have the urge to bake Christmas cookies. May see if I can invent some low-fat ones tomorrow... hmmm...
