If a "Ball" Is a premating Ritual, for humans I think for I have not heard it, then why is "everyone" invited?

You never did reply to me...are you interested in going or not? Would you rather take the ningen? I do not care one way or the other...I have a friend I might attend with if you would prefer we go seperately.

I do not know if I want to go at all...All that ink outside from those things called Printers and Pens are really messing up my nose...

But Inutan says I should go...and Get to know people.

I do not know either you or the ningen well...Nothing more then your names and faces now... Logically I should take you though for you are my destined mate...but, if you rather go with your friend that is fine...I will go with the Ningen.

No, you and I don't know each other. But since when is that necessary for a mating pledge? Especially when one's =parents= are the ones who arranged it?

I have no interest in getting to know people here. I tried on several occasions and...it has ended badly. Be careful. Ningen culture is different to ours, and my best attempts at being friendly have been rebuffed as counter to their culture. If you truly wish to try...watch yourself.

I will meet you at the ball, then. Going to this thing is not the same as mating...it seems to be an occasion for getting to know potential mates, and that...is precisely what we are. It will be some thirty odd years before our parents truly begin to pressure us to commit, I think...?
