lj fuckery

See, I like lj. It's a great way to keep up with old friends, since I'm not on facebook (yes, yes, I know -- I can't possibly really exist if I'm not on facebook, blah blah, how can I participate in a mass account deletion if I don't join in the first place, further blah), and I enjoy finding new friends and also finding witty people whose journals I then follow without often commenting, but that's because I spend too much time on metaquotes and follow the quotes home.

And normally I ignore the fail that comes along with changes. Advertising? Eh. I get to decide where it goes on my journal, and I like the juxtaposition of my content with ads that are totally ridiculous. Changing default number of entries? Meh, it's easy enough to change back. But what's with the new homepage? Is it supposed to be cleaner? Because it takes longer to load than the old one, and it's a bunch of info that's neither relevant nor interesting (and I loathe celebrity gossip), and what happened to the spotlight? I've found cool communities through spotlight. I like spotlight. Why is it gone?

Grr. Someone needs to unleash a zombie attack force, y'all.

not!fic
