I watched "Pi" a few days ago. I thought it was ok, but I can't claim to have entirely understood the plot of the movie.
Went over to Zach's on Sunday for a sleep over. Greg and Brad came as well. We played old school N64 games such as the original Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Goldeneye, and Perfect Dark (which is Goldeneye with slightly different guns). We played Texas Hold'em, naturally I claimed victory. But as we played we also listened to a cd of Patton Oswald's stand up. Seriously some of the funniest stuff I've heard in a long time, "Your twat smells like a baby's coffin" which was said in reference to the original commercial for breakfast treats. Absolutely hilarious.
We channel surfed from 4 in the morning to around 9. Saw the music video for the "save a horse, ride a cowboy" song. There was an entire marching band of black musicians following two white guys mounted on horses going across a bridge. They never reached the other side which I found to be highly anticlimactic. They also use "bling bling" in the lyrics, revolutionary for a country song. Oh, saw the new Creed, christian rock bastards. However, the Scissor Sisters more than made up for it.
Slept until 4 or 5. At one point while we were asleep, Zach's little brother came down to the basement and yelled at him for not answering the phone. He was pissed because the Taconic was flooded and, as such, his trip to Giants' training camp was cancelled. Pat called a little while after that and this time Zach was able to answer the phone promptly enough for his brother's liking. Pat told Zach to hold the phone next to my ear so he could yell and wake me up. Zach held it four feet away, but Pat's desired effect was nonetheless achieved. He seemed pleased with himself. We watched Conan, he needs to bring back the Walker Lever, and then Greg left. When Brad went to leave his car wouldn't start so we all went outside to see if we could rectify the botheration. It took us 15 minutes to figure out how to get this plastic thing that looked like a blast shield off his battery. Zach employed the cunning use of his '87 Toyota Camry and a set of jumper cables, but avail eluded us still. So, AAA came and the tow truck guy said something like "Oh, the car's in drive" then he switched it out and Brad's car worked. Elapsed time: 2 hours. Still, it was an adventure. Hung out at Zach's for a little while longer, listened to his parents make fun of him about going to community college, and then went home.
Tomorrow/Today is 2 for Tuesdays at Dominos (should it be Dominoes?). Apparently Ian's bizzaro Carmel friends have a tradition regarding 2 for Tuesdays, but we intend to ambush and inflict violences upon them in the hopes of winning Ian back forever. Also planning an excursion to S.A where I plan to pick up some ultra stylish, and dare I say fly, S.A gear as well as obscure pieces of furniture I could use in my dorm room.
