Getting started

Jan 01, 2020 00:01

Since there'll be, uh, people running around here, I just thought I'd have some sort of intro-post.

This is a writing-journal, but I won't reveal who I am, and neither will I friend my own account or anyone else who might spoil this hideout. I seriously didn't even intend to tell any of my friends who I am. Hiding is nice too.
You can call me Melody, if you want to call me by any name.

I have just started to come back to writing from a hiatus/writers block lasting more than a year, and I'm somewhat rusty.

For my original writing,
I tend to turn to pretty dark themes in my writing, and I've written everything from simple poems (I'm not an abstract person, and this is reflected in many parts of my writing, as well as my natural pessimism) to entire books in the past. Nowadays, I tend to stick to writing short stories and poems.

As for my fanfiction;
I write for various kpop, jrock and jpop fandoms, I've been in some fandoms for years, and I'm just starting to crawl back into writing after having abandoned it for the longest time. I hope you can live with the various mistakes I will do in the beginning.

About my methods:
When I have no idea about what pairing I'd like to write, I let the chance decide. You see, I have a very pretty mug, and in it, I store names, separated by group. When I need a paring, I simply place all the names of the people from the band I'd like to write about in it and pull two names out of the mug. Simple as that.
I have always used this method.
For prompts, I squeeze them out of my friends. Feel free to leave prompts, because I can never have too many.
I never leave something un-betaed. No, seriously. I only ever do that in my mother tongue, but that is because I with confidence and without exaggerating can say that my skills in that language are beyond the level of someone my age.

This entry may serve as where you post your 'HIYA I WANNA B FRENDZ KK' comments and also prompts you'd like to see me write.
