There are days when Kyuhyun misses him so much. Misses his sharp remarks, his high-pitched voice, his vanilla scented hair. He misses the way they would cuddle before bed, basking in each other's warmth while seeking refuge in the dead of the night. He misses their lingering touches, stolen kisses, head on his shoulders. He misses him being there wherever he is. Where he should be.
But far is far, and sometimes far is out of reach. And he has no idea how he's going through another day when the weather is beautiful and his heart feels so familiarly empty.
He doesn't know how he does it because it can be too much. Painful to the point where he's shaking. To the point where he's numb.
But sometimes, just sometimes, on rare moments when he allows himself to feel the pain from his suffocating heart, sometimes he feels him there. He closes his eyes and hums a soft tune, and behind closed eyelids everything is beautiful again. Because Ryeowook is there. With him. Where he should be.
"You're so unfair," he whispers. So, so unfair.
