Kurt left the kitchen with Dave to be able to keep the conversation nice and private. He looked around. "A lot can be said about Quinn Fabray, but her parents have exquisite taste." he looked around the yard and sat down on a nice little bench that was placed outside so one could overlook the garden. He patted the seat next to him for Dave to sit down.

"Yeah, It's really pretty back here." Dave sat down next to Kurt leaving about a foot between them to be on the safe side. "So are any of your friends coming tonight?" He didn't know who all Kurt knew from the different teams or if any of the other Glee jocks were showing up.

"I don't think so. Kurt Hummel is not lucky enough to have made the aquaintance of many in the popular clique.. Not pleasant acquaintances, at least." Kurt chuckled a bit, shaking his head. "I know Quinn from Glee club, but I don't trust her as such.. The same thing with Miss Brittany and Miss Santana, though the former is a nice girl.." Kurt shrugged. His gaze wandered across the lawn, taking in the surroundings and the atmosphere. "What about you?" he asked, looking back at him with a smile.

"Well I figured Fio or Niki would be here...but I haven't seen them yet." Dave let out a small laugh. "Of course I really haven't been looking for them." Dave scooted a few inches closer to Kurt. "I'm enjoying your company right now."

Kurt noticed Dave moving closer, and with the knowledge in the back of his alchohol-clouded mind of Dave actually being gay, Kurt started feeling.. a bit hot. His cheeks blushed and he gazed up into Dave's eyes. "You've shown yourself to be surprisingly pleasant company, David.. I'm really enjoying this a lot as well." He said with a soft, nice tone in his voice. It had been a long time since the day when Dave confessed his sexuality to Kurt, and though they had not spent much time together after that, it felt like he knew him quite well.

"I'm just glad I can show you that I'm not a total D-bag all the time." Dave had always felt a pull toward Kurt. He had always pushed it to back of his mind and tried forgetting about it. That never worked and just made him lash out at others. "I just hope I have the strength to continue to be pleasant company." even with his good intentions Dave was afraid he would some how back pedal and screw something up. "I don't want to disappoint you again."

Kurt smiled and him and patted Dave's cheek. "You won't! Unless you slushie me again.. Then I'll be very mad at you!" he said warningly. "Doctor Lowenstein is not a fan of red color all over his new dress shirt" He chuckled. He was in a seriously good mood... He didn't think about the effect of the alcohol.

Dave momentarily froze in shock at Kurt's touch and his eyes darted to the back doors of the house before he relaxed. "Sorry." He hoped he hadn't offended Kurt by his fear. "I'm just a bit jumpy." He grabbed Kurt's hand and held it between them. "I promise you I will never slushie you again." Dave gave him a hopeful smile.

Kurt just looked very confused at Dave's fear. He looked at the door behind him and then back at Dave. He didn't see anything? At Dave's words understanding came to his eyes. "..Oh, you're not ready to come out yet.." he wasn't either, but well, they all knew he was gay anyway, right? His drunken state wasn't as careful as his sober self. He closed his fingers around Dave's, smiling at him. "I try to believe you."

"I'm not ready to come out to them." Dave looked to the house. "Just not right now." Dave knew he had disappointed Kurt, yet again. He looked down at their hands and they fit so perfectly together. "And maybe someday you won't have to try to believe me and just will." Dave was going to make sure Kurt could trust him.

Kurt took Dave's other hand and held both of them in his. He stroke the back of Dave's hands with his thumbs and turned more towards him on the bench. "I'm sure I will!" he leaned in towards him, slowly. "You can trust me, you know" he said, looking him straight in the eye.

The strokes of Kurt's thumbs actually relaxed him. Dave nodded slowly not breaking eye contact with Kurt. "I know." He was mesmerized by Kurt's eyes. Dave felt like he could fall into them forever.

Kurt looked towards the door.. then back at Dave. "...Can I kiss you?" he asked, his voice only loud enough for the two of them to hear. His eyes flickered to Dave's lips.

Dave eyes became huge and there was a hitch in his breath. He nodded quickly as he glanced down briefly at Kurt's lips and licked his own. Dave leaned forward slightly to meet Kurt. He was about to have his first kiss.

Kurt slowly, nervously closed his own eyes as he moved closer to meet Dave's lips.. and so they did. Kurt pressed his lips lightly against Dave's, not sure where to go from there. That was his first kiss too.. and he really didn't have much of a clue about what to do next. Hollywood movies made it look so easy!
