Subject: I am really disappointed in you all.
I have just gotten out of a meeting with Principal Figgins and several displeased parents along with the head of the PTA board. It seems that while your little "performance" at last week's assembly went over well with your fellow classmates, there were a number of concerns raised about the appropriateness of what we do in Glee Club. Some of the parents even said they wouldn't let their children join.
Not only does this give us a damaged reputation, but it also starts us off on the wrong foot. We need students to join otherwise we won't have a shot at competing at Sectionals next year. Now, I've managed to convince Figgins and the PTA that what happened should simply be chocked up to youthful indiscretions, but it cannot happen again. As it stands, they wanted to impose a list of approved songs we could sing, but I think I talked them down.
Moving forward, we had four people audition last week, but that only brings our numbers up to 10. We need at least 12 before the end of the year or we will be disbanded. I'd hate to see all of the hardwork we've been doing all year go out of door. So, let's brainstorm a little. Get out there and get everyone excited to join us. We'll show them what Glee is all about.
