Nolan was bored. He had the evening off, but KC, Cris, and his million cousins were busy working, Finn was spending time with his family, and Rowan was off doing that weird thing where she channeled her pain into handing out food to homeless people.
He lounged back on his couch, not really paying attention to whatever team was losing onscreen. He flipped his phone open and scrolled through his recent contacts. He landed on Emma's name, and figured he should probably catch her up on the recent happenings. He was about to ask her how her Christmas was, but he remembered the last time he tried that he got a text back about dumbasses and Jersey. So he went with something relatively neutral.
