Who: Alvin and Jen
When: May 16, 2019
Where: Phone
What: Teenagers can be cruel
Sandra Bullock... Hot or not? Alvin hit send on the text, grinning to himself. Jen and him had become good friends since their date. Since she had told him that she was gay, they had this game going. They would text each other at random times with names of girls, seeing what the other thought of them.
Jen looked up from the book she was reading when she heard her phone buzz. She looked around hoping to find the location of the buzzing. She ended up going through her desk and dumping out her purse before she realized that her phone was under a pillow in the very same bed she’d just gotten out of. Is this a real question? She typed back. Hot.
Alvin paused his game when he saw his phone screen light out of the corner of his eye. Reading the message, he laughed and typed a quick reply. Hey, I was just checking. :P how about.. Sara Ramirez?
Do you have a thing for way older women? Jen responded when she received Alvin’s next text. Hot. Get married and have her babies hot. (Don’t tell Josie I said that.) Ms. Berry?
Maybe I do. Don’t tell anyone. It can be our secret. ;) They’re hot, what can I say? Alvin quickly tapped out his reply. Ms. Berry... She’s hot. Definitely hot. Have you seen her legs? What do you think of her?
Jen couldn’t help the laugh that Alvin’s message pulled out of her. After everything she was so glad that they’d stayed friends. Kk. How could anyone miss her legs in those skirts??
So... I take that as a hot. Times about... 1,000? Alvin hit send before he read over his reply. Frowning at the wording, he quickly sending another text. Is that too creepy?
Jen was in the middle of her reply to Alvin’s first text when the second came through. She started a new one. I don’t know! Jen typed out. She’s a teacher but...I feel so gross. You’re turning me into a teenage boy!
Alvin laughed out loud as he read the last part of Jen’s text. LMAO. Oh please, like you don’t already think these things. She was a celebrity before she was our teacher, so it’s like talking about a celebrity... right? That’s what Alvin told himself, at least.
Like you’d ever heard of BWay before she came. Jen reread the last part of his message again. Is it wrong that I think her voice is hot?
Hey! I’ve heard of Broadway before... And I knew about her cause my cousin was in glee with her, and he told me about her. We tended to bond over the fact that she was hot... Alvin read over the second part of Jen’s text. If it’s wrong, I don’t wanna be right. :P It’s so... so... I don’t even have the right word for it.
Jen hesitated before typing out her next message. She knew Alvin have been really upset about his cousin Matt dying and she didn’t know if she should mention him. She slowly typed out her reply. I don’t doubt that he knew what more than you. So, I guess I believe you. After a few moments she settled on that and continued. Hot? Super hot? Really really really hot?
He knew a lot. I think he liked her in high school. I can see why... Come to think of it... Alvin contemplated not finishing the thought, but decided against it and continued his text. Maybe that’s why I liked you. You kind of remind me of her.
Fingernails tapping lightly against the screen of her phone Jen pondered what reply she could send that would keep this whole situation from getting awkward. “I remind you of Ms.Berry? Are you calling me old? Jerk.
No, of course not. I’m calling you hot. ;) But you already knew that. LOL. He replied quickly.
Well of course I knew that. Everyone knows that. Ew. Gross. You’re turning me into a boy who is full of himself. Jen was relieved at Alvin’s quick reply. We can’t be friends if you’re a bad influence.
Well, when you put it that way, it’s weird. And you know it’s not what I meant. You two are different in many ways, but.. /some/ things are... similar, I guess. Alvin frowned as he continued typing. Just forget I said anything. Can we still be friends? :P
Of course. Jen replied as she rolled to the edge of her bed, reaching out for a pencil that she’d dropped earlier. She was reached with one hand, typing with the other and succeeded only in falling off her bed. Sitting up she finished the message. I can’t loose my..what is it called...lesbro, lezbro??
Alvin smiled at the text, replying as he walked into the kitchen to get a soda. I think it’s lezbro.. I may be wrong, though.
Jen finished writing a note in the margin of the book she was reading before she replied. I’ll look it up I guess. Since I think I’m the one who’s supposed to know these things...
Alvin heard his phone go off as he finished making a snack. Yeah, maybe you should do that. :P he replied, glad they could tease each other as much as they do.
I will and I’ll even get you a shirt with the correct spelling, so everyone will know. Wear it?
Jen continued her message.Emma Stone, hot or not?
I’ll wear it under my shirt every day. Just for you. :D He replied before thinking about his answer. Emma Stone with blonde hair, not so much.. If she has red or darker hair... Hot.
Jen was somewhat surprised by Alvin’s answer. I agree/approve. But, I have a thing for brunettes, clearly.
Okay, is it weird that I just cared about hair color? I think I’ve hung out with girls too much lately... Alvin shook his head, making a mental note to call up Gabe later.
Jen laughed. It is weird. A little. I wasn’t going to say anything.
So, if I didn’t say anything, you would’ve just forgotten about it? Or would you have teased me about it later? he replied, smiling.
Jen shook her head as she read Alvin’s reply, quickly typing out her response. I am a girl (and yes I’m being stereotypical) I want you to think about that question and try again.
Grinning, he texted back. LOL. Good point. So, good thing I pointed it out myself, then. :P
Good job! You’re learning. We’ll get you a girl and I’ll have to watch my student stroll of into the sunset. :’( Jen set her phone down when she was finished replying and headed downstairs for some water.
Alvin went back upstairs to his room and laid on his bed as he waited for his phone to beep. When it did, he smiled to himself. I kind of have my eye on one, actually. :P You can still teach me, though, oh wise one.
Well now you have to tell me who! Jen replied, typing out her message as soon as she came back upstairs.
You know how I have a thing for brunettes?... Well, she’s not a brunette. Alvin replied, biting his lip.
Jen read the message once, then twice, trying to think of the non-brunettes she’d seen around Alvin. Can I get one definite hair color?
Alvin thought about making it harder on Jen and having her guess, but decided not to be mean. Blonde.
“Blonde...” Jen repeated softly to herself when she read Alvin’s text. Then it finally hit her. Bree?! she sent, sending another message with just exclamation points a few seconds later.
... Yeah. Bree. :) Are the exclamation points a good thing, or...? He replied.
It’s good! Josie will want to double date. We will not double date. But, aww. Jen was giddy herself finding out. She thought Alvin and Bree would be really cute and good for each other.
Alvin let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding as he read over Jen’s text, relieved at her approval. Are you sure you don’t want to double date? Think of all the fun we could have!
You do realize that you’d be the only guy on this double date?
You do realize I’m a guy, right? I’ll look like I’m on a date with three girls. I am the man. :P
Jen was glad that Alvin couldn’t see her laughter at his reply. Stop just stop.
Alvin was grinning as he typed out his reply. Why? What am I doing?
Being gross. Please refer to my previous grossness if you have any questions. Jen replied.
Laughing, Alvin typed out his reply. You know I was kidding. And that’s not gross. It’s kinda awesome. ;)
I’m rolling my eyes at you. Jen typed out. Are you going to talk to her?
Of course you are. Alvin shook his head as he typed his reply. Yeah, I will. When the time is right. :)
Jen had heard that excuse before. So, that means you’re never going to talk to her till someone makes you do it...
How Jen knew Alvin so well, he wasn’t sure. It was kind of weird, but really cool at the same time. Well...yeah, I guess you’re probably right.
She’s really nice. Just talk to her. Jen urged, sending another text after the first. Do you want me to talk to her?
Alvin thought about it before text her back. No, you don’t need to talk to her first. I got this...Just wait a couple days.
Bet you’ve been telling yourself that since you figured out you liked her. Jen hoped she wasn’t pushing Alvin. But, after the way things had turned out between them, she wanted Alvin to be happy.
... I have not. Alvin hoped Jen couldn’t see through that lie, but she probably did.
Mmhmm. Well good luck with the never talking to her thing. Jen replied.
I’ll talk to her. I don’t wanna freak her out or anything, though. I mean, we don’t even talk all that much except for in glee. Let me be her friend first. Alvin typed out another text shortly after hitting send. If I don’t talk to her by this time next week, you can talk to her.
Ok. It’s not like I’d tell her you liked her. I’d just see if you had a chance. Jen hesitated before sending the message, adding a bit more, Which you do, stud...or something else encouraging...
Alvin laughed at the last part of Jen’s message. Aww, you think I’m a stud?
Jen laughed at Alvin’s reply. Just like a boy to take the opportunity to get is ego stroked. Yes. Total stud.
Yes! Alvin replied, standing up and looking around his room for the remote.
Since Alvin seemed pleased with her reply she continued their game. ...Ashley Greene, hot or not?
He found the remote for the uWatch and found a comedy as he heard his phone beep. Reading the text, Alvin thought about his answer for a moment. Uhmm.. hot. What about Emily Osment?
She’s not not hot but y’know she’s not my type of hot. Jen usually felt bad about calling someone a ‘not’ but she knew Alvin would know what she was saying.
It’s cause she’s blonde, isn’t it? Alvin typed, knowing she would know he was teasing. I know what you mean, though.
Jen wasn’t sure what it was about Alvin that helped him to seemingly get her so well. Maybe it was because he was one of the first people she’d been honest with. Emily was her best friend there was no denying that but there were certain things she couldn’t be totally honest with her about, with Alvin there was less of that. Either way she typed out a reply with a smile on her face. You keep your blondes and I’ll keep Josie.
I only like a few blondes. But, you can have Josie. You two are cute together. Alvin replied. He really did think they were cute together.
:D Jen began to start another message but she noticed the clock and frowned. You’ve been distracting me for an hour. I gotta finish English stuff.
Alvin checked the time. Crap. I’m sorry. Have fun with English. I have to... watch this movie. :P I’ll talk to you later?
I needed the distraction. Have fun with your movie...not too much fun I hope. Of course, I’m excited for the next round. Jen reread her text then sent it, setting her phone down and reaching for the book she’d forgotten.
It’s not that kind of movie, Jenna. But, I will have fun laughing till my side hurts. Have fun with your homework. Until next round. Bye! :D Alvin hit send and got comfortable, pressing play on the uWatch.
