Ian got middle school Teacher of the Year for Sarasota County!!!!!!
So today, Ian was told he was to bring the band to the gym for a pep rally to get kids excited for FCAT (yeah right, standardized testing, cool?). They had him play a few songs as we (me, his parents, grandpa, brother and sister-in-law) snuck into the gym with the superintendent and a bunch of school board members behind him. At one point, he turned to look at his principal and didn't even see his Dad was there next to her. Then he did a double take and saw us all there. He was super confused until they started tugging him toward the microphone and the rest is on this video. His reaction was amazing. He started to tear up a little as he thanked everyone. :D
