93

Watching "The Flight That Fought Back" on Discovery, and thinking about my own flights tomorrow. Of course things are safer now than they've ever been, because passengers won't let that happen again. Part of me envies them.... that clarity of purpose, the decisiveness. Such richness so futile a reason.

When I get back, maybe I'll try watching Greengrass' "United 93" when I get home. I've been afraid to do so until now.

People think it's a little crazy that I leave my shoes untied on planes (so if they need to come off, they can), and keep track of where the exits are. If any plane I'm in crashes, gods damn it, I'm going to be one of the ones to survive it, and no one will die on my watch.
