Someone rec'd this fic in
harry_potter a while ago saying, "This is what the prologue of DH should have been like." Though it's really not the kind of extensively detailed thing that ever could have actually been in the book, it certainly does provide a very satisfying conclusion for many characters, some who hardly got any kind of conclusion to their story. Divided into seven parts, it's sort of like seven different "alternate endings," each focusing on different characters or groups of characters. Some things in the beginning that were not completely easy to accept as believable to me had me skeptical at first that I was going to end up bothering to get through the whole thing, but as I kept reading I found myself very engaged in it and deeply moved, sometimes close to tears. Casira is a very gifted writer and has managed to provide some more closure for the end of this story with a fic that is done well enough to feel mostly very consistent with canon.
