HAPPY HARRY POTTER DAY EVE SORTA!!
I'm kind of bummed right now that my Weird Sisters T-shirt I was going to make to wear to the midnight release party at Barnes & Noble didn't work out because I was stupid and messed it up. :( I guess I'll just be wearing my Cedric Diggory shirt and Hufflepuff pin. House pride FTW baby!!
I am both thrilled about the book coming out and deepy saddened by the thought of my favorite story ever told actually coming to an end. I don't think it's really even hit me yet that after just 650 pages or so it's just going to be over. As a writer, I think I can surely say that reading these books has been one of the most important and influencial experiences of my life. I really don't know how well I'm going to deal with it when I get to that moment that I finish reading the last page of Deathly Hallows and have to close the book. It's been a big part of my life for such a long time, and I can only hope the fandom will stay alive and kicking for a long while so that it will be a while before I really have to start accepting that it will never be how it once was again and say goodbye.
Anyway, I just want to assure all of you that ABSOLUTELY NO SPOILERS FOR BOOK 7 WILL BE POSTED IN THIS JOURNAL WITHOUT A CUT FOR THE FIRST THREE WEEKS AFTER ITS RELEASE. If anybody actually needs me to keep things spooiler-free for longer, just say so. Meanwhile, happy reading!
