Fan Essay Rec: "An Advertisement for Harry Potter"

I just discovered this other fantastic work of meta by hesychasm, who wrote the "Fandom is..." post. I should have figured that the person who wrote that has known the HP fandom insanity. And she clearly has a deep understanding of the obsession, while so many people have failed to really touch on what it so special about Harry Potter and only try to explain its popularity with things that are true about countless other works like "It's good escapism?" This short rambling about the awesomeness of the HP books really goes right to the core of what I know is my reason for bowing down in worship to J.K. Rowling - I don't know about you. Do read over it, especially if you aren't an HP convert (yet, haha), considering the title certainly suggests that it is directed at people who don't read the books.
