1. Oh God, I don't know. Everything about him? The way he's kind of the only sane voice of reason of all the main characers in these books? And also a character who is refreshingly not overflowing with angst or gushing intensity 24/7 and can lighten up. 2. He is extremely loyal and devoted to someone when he loves them but never compromising. Also, how funny is it how he's one of the only characters who isn't pathetically self-loathing with no backbone to stand up for themself and because of this he gets labeled as arrogant. 3. He speaks or acts without thinking a lot, and since he doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve as much as someone like Edward I think he struggles with keeping his emotions buried instead of dealing with them. 4. Jacob is one of those characters who comes pretty naturally to me when I write him. I even find myself making him do things I don't like and will make him look like kind of a dick because I know it fits his flaws. 5. Jacob takes everything so lightly that sometimes he reminds her of a little kid. It makes the world feel like a safe place again rather than a dark and serious one. Somehow, at some point, the sound of Edward's voice humming her lullaby in the dark at night has been replaced with the chipper sound of Jacob casually whistling in the daytime as she's gotten used to him habitually doing all the time when she's with him. It's a very different kind of pleasing and comforting sound, like the chirping of birds outside as the sun is rising. 6. Oh, I have plenty of big plans for him all the time, but that's the most specific I think I can be now.
