Week three

This will be the first Monday where we actually have classes!!! It's going to be weird going to school for a full week like normal people do.

Last nite, Laura came by because she knows that I am always in my room. She invited me to a frat party with two other guys from the eleventh floor, one of whom I already knew. Since I obviously wasn't going anywhere, I went, but after we walked for like half a mile to get to the house, we found out that the frat guys were only letting one guy in for every three girls. That meant that Laura and I couldn't even get one of the guys that we came with in. We decided to not go because it wouldn't be fun anyways if seventy-five percent of the people there were girls, so we ended up going to Coconut Grove, this part of Miami that has clubs and restaurants geared towards the younger people of the city (as in above eighteen). After walking around for a while, we finally decided on going into a club. It was pretty fun!!! The music was good, and everyone was REALLY close because the dance floor was like as big as my dorm room (which isn't big), and it was so hot!!! As soon as we started dancing though, and I mean this quite literally, all these random guys started coming up to me and dancing with me. It was actually kind of funny because Laura kept making these random faces at me because she thought it was hilarous too. I danced for only like forty minutes though because I had worn heels since I didn't anticipate such a change of plans. After I got a drink and Laura, David and I sat at the bar for ten minutes, we decided to go to the outside patio thing and just breath normal air. Chip eventually joined us, and we stood out there for a half and hour just talking and laughing until they closed the area off. Then we went back inside, where it was much less crowded than before, and danced for fifteen more minutes. Laura and I were finished with the club by then, so we left.

After we drove off, we all decided that we really, really, really wanted milkshakes because we had been talking about them on the outside patio thing. That posed a problem; where were we going to get milkshakes at four in the morning?? Johnny Rocket's was closed, and Miami doesn't have a Steak and Shake or a Friendly's. After much driving around, we were hit by inspiration: Denny's. Wonderful Denny's open 24/7!!!!!!! Plus, there was a Denny's right across the Metro/US 1/Ponce from the university. Denny's it was. When we walked inside, it was packed. I'm not kidding. There were SO many people inside, and even more people came in while we were there. We had our milkshakes and our water and we talked some more about random stuff like always. Then we left and finally went back to our dorm at quarter til six. I woke up at two.

Saturdays are always much more interesting the later you wake up. You get so disoriented about the passing of time, and when you are the most awake (at like eleven or midnight), you get very angry that everything is closed. Take right now. I very much need to go to Target because I have a list of like ninteen things that I need to buy, but I cannot find it in me to get off this seat and leave. The disorientation is what makes it fun!!!

Elizabeth went home yesterday again. She has never been here for a Friday nite which is why I never have any plans. Again, oh well.

Orlando Bloom is hot.
