Global Summit 2009

Jun 14, 2009 11:51

Back from Cologne...nearly 7 hours on the road for what turned out a bit more than 1 hour doing stuff with for Jared...and lets not forget the 7 hours back home.

Lets be honest the summit was not very well planed, big surprise. It was said that something around 450 ppl where suppose to come, actually there where like 150?! lol Rumours had it that it all would take roughly 3 hours for the whole thing to practise and tape it. Ha, bloody Ha.
Someone made a ten minute vid with the "important" parts of the LA summit. That someone, whoever they were, sucked balls and should not be allowed close to anything video related ever again.
Instead of giving us Jared humming or singing so we know how it is suppose to sound they gave us the LA crowd after Jared spend probably like 20 minutes of letting them practise it. And we where supposed to know what and how to sing after listing to them twice...yeah sure. It comes especially good if you listen and afterwards look at your neighbour only to discover that he/she has the same big question mark on their face as you do. For we couldn't understand one single word. we understood many things form chance to champions but what we did NOT understood where the words they where singing (in that case KINGS!!)... And don't get me started about the guy on stage how was suppose to lead us. Didn't work.

But it wasn't all bad. Beside the usual "not planed very well" it was very very nice. It girl I meet last minute on the german boards who came along turned out to be the perfect travel partner. Same taste in music, no bitching and nice to talk to.
Seeing some of my girls again was a big plus as well, even when it was for no longer than like 90 minutes. *sigh*
Also, what there was to hear of the new songs sounded bloody great to me. The lyrics (the chorus I think it was) to I think it was "Hurricane" sounded rather "hardcore" (can't think of a better word atm) but I dare say it all depends on the rest of the song lyrics to see how it all works out.

That was pretty much it. We went to see the Dome, got some ice cream and back home it was.
I feel good and happy that I went to the summit after all. For it was, all in all fun.
Even though we are all rather sure that none of it will ever find its way on the album. LOL.

EDIT!
as hardcore as they may be I've got those damn lyrics bouncing around in my head...aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh, can't stop singing....

30stm, friends, global summit 2009
