SPLASHiN around!
My manager asked me if i was willing to fill in as the city library's new mascot (SPLASH) for the grand re-opening of the bookmobile because the person who usually does it wasn't available. And I was always curious to know how it felt to be under a mascot costume so I was like "WHY NOT?" -- and it was much more interesting than I've imagined!
This picture shows me wearing the orange-yellow starfish with the kid, Sebastian, who kept high-fiving me and would not leave my side. I loved the kids and it was funny to see how excited they all were. Just as excited as I would probably be if I saw Curious George. haha!
Also, some kids gave me a drawing they made of splash which was somewhat rewarding along with the experience. Plus I had the opportunity to meet the city mayor; although not personally. haha
