Me and my bro checked out this Filipino Cultural celebration event today and just basically walked around and bought some food from one of the stands to go. They had HALO-HALO that finally satisfied my over-a-month long craving!:) But I initially planned to go to watch the Fil-Am Idol Contest portion but I woke up too late due not sleeping until 7am earlier that day.
We went back home and ate for a bit then headed for the movies to watch "Shrek The 3rd." Which not to mention is not "theatre watching" worthy so I suggest you just wait for it on Dvd if you havent already seen it. And after, we decided to movie hop to another movie, "Hostel 2" -- also not worth spending your 10 bucks on. But it's all gravy because I got the tickets for free. :P (occassional advantage as an ex-employee who gets along with one of the managers) ..And thennnnn credits rolled and my bro said, "let's watch another one." where and which i was a bit hesitant about since it's pretty much plain CRAZY to watch 3 movies in a row! but i was like what the hell, why not? This time we saw "Ocean's Thirteen" which ended up being the one i actually enjoyed and felt the actual worth of my movie-going experience. haha. Yes, one of the seldom cases where "3rd time IS a charm."
Anyway, that's basically what i did all day. It was my first time watching 3 movies in a row at a movie theatre. (crossed off in my 'to do before i die' list)
and let's not forget, i didn't have to spend a dime! so yay? :P
well no, actually i spent 4 bucks on a damn Sour Patch Candy that you can get at any gas station or liquor store for .99 cents. (can you say ripped off!?) Oh well.
Then after the 6-hour numbness my buttcheeks partook in, we bought some carne asada burrito and some thai milk tea with boba for my dinner/midnight snack! :D
And I tried finishing the night off with a bottle of heineken to help me catch some z's. But as usual, here i am -- as sleepless as can be.
Anyway, I guess that about sums up my weekend. Nothing more than uneventful. Later on today will just be a rest day -- Hopefully.
Till my next boring post..
Happy Summer!
