Title: Vintage [1/1]
Author: FloweryMisha
Pairing: KiWoon
Warning: BoyxBoy love. Enough said.
Summary: Some would say it’s old fashioned. Others would think it’s out of date. But maybe, maybe...it’s just a style.
Author’s Note: I don’t know, this is my delusion, Dongwoon may be a jerk but he’s always gonna be gentle when it comes to Kikwang T_T always. Not that Kikwang’s as innocent as in the story, too. And sorry for the bashing. Got nothing against the girls. Unbeta-ed, and please, no translations allowed!!
Kikwang was happy with Dongwoon.
Everything’s going great, in a few months they will celebrate their second anniversary, they rarely fight, they have good communication, they have everything you’ve ever wanted in a relationship.
They’re perfect for each other.
Nothing could go wrong.
But maybe, it was too soon to think so.
When Hara came up to him that afternoon, he was a bit flabbergasted. Kikwang felt slightly worried because Junhyung had just ended his relationship with her a few months ago, and now the Joker’s literally in heaven for dating Hyunseung. He thought their conversation was going to be Junhyung-related, but it wasn’t. Her question made him raised his brows.
“Um... I’m sorry...an interview for what?”
“Oh, didn’t you hear? You and Dongwoon have been nominated for the Sweetest Couple Of The Year. You know, for the upcoming prom.”
“The swee...wait, do we have such nomination?”
Hara chuckled but Kikwang wasn’t fond of her laugh. “Of course sweetie. It’s new. Considering the fact that he’s popular and you’re not.”
“Oh...”, Kikwang shifted his weight to another feet uncomfortably. Something wasn’t right. “Well, what do you want to ask...?”
“Well, have you done those things?"
Kikwang frowned. “Those...things?”
“Yeah. Those things. Come on. You know it.”
“I-I don’t think so...”
Hara rolled her eyes. “Things. Like having intercourse.”
Kikwang’s jaw dropped and placed a hand over his mouth. “Ex-excuse me?”
“Have the two of you decided when to get married?”
“Um-“
“Or even meeting each other’s parents?”
“Well-“
“Or planning the future together?”
Kikwang couldn’t brought himself to answer. Hara was asking all the questions like they were no big deal while Kikwang didn’t know what to feel, should he feel offended, should he just answer casually...
“Why are you not answering?”
How should I answer any of that?
“Could it be...that you’ve done nothing yet?”
Kikwang bit his lip and looked down. Hara seemed to enjoy his suffering.
“Don’t tell me...all you have done were just kissing and holding hands?”
With the pretty male not answering any of her questions, Hara acted like she was surprised.
“Oh my God. People are not doing only that anymore! If you guys aren’t doing it, then you are so boring! Really? I mean, come on, how old are you again?”
Boring.
“Wait, maybe it’s just one of you. Maybe it’s you? Some people have been saying you’re boring...poor Dongwoon... I knew it, he’s better with Nicole in the first place...stupid maknae...”
Kikwang snapped his head to Hara and his eyes widened. Nicole?
“Aww...maybe you guys aren’t the Sweetest Couple after all. Well then...let me discuss this nomination again with the club and let me reconfirm it to you in a few days, alright?”
She gave him an apologetic smile before turning to leave.
Kikwang was stunned in his track. No one has ever been nasty to him before. In fact, Gosh, she was too blunt. What she said was mean, and it hurt Kikwang’s feelings. But it got Kikwang to think about his relationship with Dongwoon. Despite the fact that she’s a bitch, she’s probably right.
They’ve never done any of the mentions above.
Because he was probably...
Kikwang swallowed thickly.
Am I boring?
***
“Oh my God, that bitch,” Sohyun stared at Kikwang in disbelief. “Why didn’t you say something, Oppa?”
Kikwang looked down at his lunch with no interest. He hasn’t met Dongwoon for the day, and to be honest, he’s not ready to see him...yet. Kikwang wanted to spend the day alone but meeting Sohyun halfway changed all that. She talked, she whined, she laughed, as she dragged her Oppa to the cafetaria. But Kikwang wasn’t in the mood.
Sohyun realized Kikwang hasn’t been himself and she asked him what’s wrong.
Kikwang refused to tell, of course.
But Sohyun kept on whining and half threatening Kikwang that she will call Dongwoon in a second if he didn’t start talking and that’s when Kikwang realized how dangerous it would be if it happen. He just didn’t want to make Dongwoon worry.
So he did.
“I’m so going to kick her ass. Did you know that she’s been bad mouthing Seungie Oppa like he stole Junhyung Oppa from her? Ugh. That stupid, pathetic girl. Finally, a chance to fight her. I’m gonna make her sorry for what she’s done to you.”
“You-you’re going to fight her? Alone?”
Kikwang was horrified at the thought that Sohyun’s going to get suspended for clawing Hara’s face.
“Of course not. I’m going to bring Jihyunie and Gayoonie and Hyunah, too. I feel more powerful behind them.
“Oh. ...okay.”
“But really, you should’ve said something,” Sohyun sighed. “You’re too nice, Oppa. Are you going to tell Dongwoon-oppa about this?”
Kikwang’s expression hardened the moment she mentioned his boyfriend’s name. “No. No, definitely not. Woonie doesn’t need to know about this. Afterall, it’s...nothing. It’s not like Hara is trying to pick up a fight... I’m sure she meant nothing...”
Sohyun made a face and she almost exploded at how naive Kikwang was, but decided to shut her mouth instead.
He and his positive thinking.
But it did not do positive to his mind.
Kikwang was uncomfortable. Everything that he’s established, everything he believed, it was like they were gone. Instead of feel calm and lovey dovey everytime Dongwoon was around, he felt scared. He’s much quieter, even though he is a quiet person but it was only to the people he didn’t know of, but now it’s like he’s giving silent treatment to everyone.
Dongwoon noticed this.
Of course he noticed this, what wouldn’t he notice about Kikwang? He would even notice if Kikwang’s smile was three inches less on his face.
The pretty male has been spacing out a lot, like a lot. He bumped on people, he tripped on the school yard, he entered the girl’s restroom-but since he’s not interested in female, the girls decided not to make a fuss about it.
Dongwoon was worried.
But whenever he asked his boyfriend what was wrong, he would always get a comforting smile and ‘it’s nothing.’ And he knew it wasn’t an honest answer.
It was not nothing.
Dammit, there’s gotta be something.
Why won’t you share?
***
Dongwoon gave him a ride home that day.
Kikwang thought of a thousand possible things to be talked about, but he felt like he’s out of words. It never happened to him, usually he would just say anything to make it lively between them, but not tonight. Kikwang was just scared it would come out differently unlike expected, and his boyfriend would find him bor... He pinched the inside of his arm quietly to stop being uncomfortable.
Again, Dongwoon noticed this, and he’s been observing the pretty male from the corner of his eye, thinking if he’s done anything wrong to make Kikwang angry at him. When he couldn’t find any, he just stroke Kikwang’s hair softly.
“You’re terribly quiet tonight. Are you tired?”
Kikwang could only nod and Dongwoon let out a long sigh.
The rest of the trip was filled with no exchange of words, until they were in front of Kikwang’s house. Kikwang unfastened his seatbelt and grabbed his bag.
“Thank you, Woonie,” he said nervously and smiled.
Dongwoon stared at him for a moment before leaning forward to catch his lips. It was just the nice, usual loving kiss that Dongwoon does everytime they’re about to part, but that night it was different because Kikwang tensed up.
Kikwang stiffened, his hands curled into fists and he was shaking.
What to do? Open my mouth? Offer him my body? G-grope Woonie?
Kikwang was so stressed with his own thoughts that his face was full of frown. Instead of enjoying it, he looked like he’s about to cry any minute.
When Dongwoon realized his boyfriend wasn’t kissing him back like usual, he slowly broke their one sided kiss, pulled back and smiled at Kikwang. He noticed the uneasiness plastered all over Kikwang’s face.
Maybe he’s not in the mood.
“Good night,” Dongwoon said softly and planted a kiss on Kikwang’s forehead.
“G-good night,” Kikwang replied in confusion and got off the car. He didn’t immediately went inside the house, he stood there with a mix feeling as Dongwoon drove his car away. Kikwang brought his hand to his mouth and he went pale.
Oh God, I am obviously boring.
***
It was Jiyong’s birthday party and everyone was invited.
The invitation said party, but everyone knew what it really meant was get drunk and make out.
Kikwang didn’t like to go to parties. But this time, he thought he’d go just for a change. Because he didn’t want anyone to think that he’s boring...especially not Dongwoon.
Dongwoon frowned when Kikwang told him he wanted to go.
“Are you sure? This is Jiyong we’re talking about. His party is going to be wild.”
“And I can’t be wild, is that what you’re saying?”
Dongwoon fell silent as he felt the sensitive vibe was there. Again. Lately Kikwang has been like this, it seemed like if Dongwoon said even a wrong word, he’d snap and explode in anger. Of course Dongwoon didn’t mean it like that, but it’s just unusual for Kikwang to be wanting to go to a party. Jiyong was beyond rich and his parents were always out of town. They probably wouldn’t find him in the house because he’s locked somewhere with Seungri. But Seunghyun and Taeyang, Jiyong’s mates, that’s another story. Both of them are straight, and when they’re together, you can’t expect things to be right. They would probably turn the party into something disastrous.
Kikwang calmed down as fast as he went angry. He bit his lip, feeling guilty for almost snapping at Dongwoon and looked down.
“I’m sorry. I mean... I just want to go. Once in a while...”
Dongwoon stared at him for a moment before finally nodding. He inwardly sighed.
“Okay.”
“Really?”, Kikwang’s face brightened and he looked happy. “You’ll come along, right?”
Dongwoon went blank.
If you’re not with me, do you really think I would allow you to go?
***
Kikwang soon regretted his decision.
When they have arrived at Jiyong’s house, just as expected, the birthday boy was nowhere to be found. The moment they entered the house it looked like they have just entered a club. The hall was huge, and someone has installed a disco ball in the hall, neon colored lights were covering the whole room. The sound of music could be heard loudly, almost deafening the ears, but he could hear the excited shoutings and screamings for the deejay to make more music. A lot of people dance in the middle of the room, enjoying the beat.
Kikwang gulped.
He grabbed Dongwoon’s arm tightly.
It was a lot more noisy than he expected, but...he’ll be fine.
Kikwang spotted a lot of couple making out in the dark, away from the crowds.
He recognized Kris, sucking his partner’s face, but he didn’t know who it was. He looked younger-probably still in high school. Kris’ hands were groping the male’s body, sometimes accidentally lifting up the shirt. And even though there was not enough light, but Kikwang could see that the male has black hair and fairly glowing skin. From his lips, Kris started to attack the neck, enough to make the male opened his mouth and threw his head back in pleasure.
God, they have never been in such position.
To think that Kris even make out with a high schooler. They’re probably two, three years apart?
Kikwang covered his mouth with a hand nervously, trying to look away. His other hand squeezed Dongwoon’s, feeling scared the other would suddenly let go. Dongwoon noticed the gesture but decided not to make something out of it.
As they passed by a throng of people, Kikwang saw another couple making out on the couch. It was Woohyun, Dongwoon’s friend. He was on Sunggyu’s lap while exchanging kisses and tongues. Judging from the position they were in, there was no way, no freaking way that their bulges weren’t touching and...
God, he didn’t even want to know.
Kikwang let out a whimper. It was soft, and impossible to hear with all the noises, but Dongwoon heard it. His boyfriend stopped walking and turned to face him.
“Are you okay?”, Dongwoon ran his thumb on Kikwang’s cheek.
“Y-yeah...”
“Let’s find some place quieter, alright?”
There was a hint of comforting in his tone.
Dongwoon, who’s been in the house twice, quickly led Kikwang to the verandah where there were just a few people smoking and drinking beers.
Kikwang sighed in relief, glad to be away from all those things inside. He leaned his back against the wall, feeling the wind breezing and as he rubbed his face, he thought maybe he should’ve just stayed at home and watch dvds.
“You’re pale,” Dongwoon said worriedly. “I’m gonna find you something to drink, okay?”
Kikwang gazed at the taller male softly. He’s really grateful to have someone like him. “If it’s not too much, please...”
“Don’t be silly,” Dongwoon poked his nose playfully and smiled. “Wait here. I’ll be right back.”
He went back into the house and went straight to the dining room. Dongwoon saw some snacks and thought maybe Kikwang would want some, it could be that he was pale because he hasn’t eat anything. When he grabbed a plate, a girl came up to him and Dongwoon recognized her from the perfume.
“I thought you dislike parties?”
Dongwoon didn’t even look up to see her properly.
“You bring any date?”
“That’s rhetorical,” Dongwoon spoke up.
“Ah, your boyfriend...that’s right,” Nicole tilted her head and her hair went to a side. “I recommend the red one, it’s delicious.”
She got a snort as a reply. “You’re not here to recommend cakes. What is it, Nicole-ssi?”
Nicole pouted and crossed her arms. “You’re no fun.”
“Sorry if I’m nothing like you expect. If you’ll excuse me, Kikwang is waiting.”
“I’m better than him, you know.”
Dongwoon planned to ignore her but what she just said got his attention. He threw a sharp glare at her. “...what?”
“Look at your drinks, Dongwoon. Beer for you and I’m guessing the water is for your boyfriend. Who drinks water in a party like this anyway? You can even tell from it that he’s boring.”
“Stop.”
“It it was me, we’d be more adventurous. In everything. Even in bed. Come on, Dongwoon, you’re a man, you have needs, and he’s not giving you any. Your relationship is ultimately boring! Now I don’t know if he’s just playing dumb or, or who knows? Maybe he fucked with someone else behind you-“
Nicole stopped talking as Dongwoon splashed the water to her face. She instantly closed her eyes and opened them again in shock. She looked down at her wet dress and was about to retort in anger but it soon faded because the look that Dongwoon gave her was loath.
“Watch your mouth.”
“B-but...”, she protested. “Kikwang-Kikwang, he-“
“If you ever, ever say something bad about him again...”
Dongwoon said in a cold voice.
“...I won’t hesitate to hurt you.”
***
Dongwoon was taking forever and Kikwang needed to go to the bathroom.
He finally found someone normal who wasn’t in a make out session and asked for the way to the nearest bathroom. When Kikwang was done, he kind of forgot the way to the verandah and looked around. All the doors looked the same and Jiyong’s house was too damn huge, it’s just not funny if he’s taking the wrong door and got lost...
Kikwang’s mind lingered back to the couples he has seen tonight.
They all looked...intimate.
They were all sweaty and moaning mess, but they looked like they were...enjoying it.
Kikwang facepalmed and took a deep breath.
It made him more horrified. Because now it’s really obvious that he’s boring. They do kiss, but it was more in a sweet kind of way instead of exchanging tongues and lust kind of way. Dongwoon has been really careful about kissing him, touching him, but it was probably because of the Kikwang, too. Because Kikwang has always tensed up whenever their lips met.
Oh God.
It was his fault afterall.
It got him a headache.
Kikwang decided to stop blaming himself at the moment and stood up to find his boyfriend. He just wanted to see Dongwoon... Kikwang absent mindedly opened one of the closed doors when he realized it was another bathroom, but it was occupied.
Junhyung and Hyunseung were inside. In a rather awkward position.
Hyunseung was on the sink, naked legs wrapped on Junhyung’s waist and his arms holding the latter tightly. Junhyung was facing him, with one hand on the counter and the other also held the doll faced male safely. Both of their faces were flushing, Hyunseung closing his eyes and Junhyung looked at him intensely. Kikwang noticed that Hyunseung’s underwear was on the floor and Hyunseung was moaning-
Oh my God.
“I-I’m sorry!”
The pretty male immediately slammed the door shut and covered his face with both hands. The couple didn’t seem to be disturbed, judging by the sound Hyunseung made inside.
But it was the worst scene he’s seen tonight.
If he thought he was boring because their kisses have never gotten that far, this even made it worse. Because Dongwoon has never groped him, or biting his neck, or all the other stuffs. And the thing that happened between Junhyung and Hyunseung...it was somehow, terrifying.
Kikwang wasn’t ready.
He wasn’t even ready to see it, moreover doing it.
To think that his relationship with Dongwoon has been going for almost two years. The JunSeung couple? Preferably two months-three months max, and they’re already doing it.
It.
Kikwang went pale and felt nauseated.
Oh God, I am so freaking boring.
Kikwang’s head was filled with negative thoughts about himself, and he just wanted to go home. He just wanted to get out of there, to leave this place and never go back. Tears were already threatening to fall and his head hurt and-
“Hey, look who’s here!”
Seunghyun and Taeyang appeared out of nowhere and they were the last person Kikwang wished to see.
“Lee Kikwang!”
“It’s rare for you to be here!”
“So, I guess you left your boring and unpopular cave and decide to join us in the cool and popular party?”
Kikwang paid no attention and went to walk past them but Seunghyun stopped him.
“Whoa, whoa...not so soon, pretty. Where are you going?”
“Don’t be stupid, stupid. He’s gonna find his boyfriend.”
“Oh, Dongwoonie? Did he come? Fantastic! Wait, isn’t it rare for him to come to parties like this?”
Kikwang even felt worse to know that they have labeled them. All this time, he was probably too blind to see that everyone actually thought so of their relationship. Kikwang hid the sniffs behind his hand.
“Please, just...step aside,” he plead in whisper.
“Dammit Top, you make him cry.”
“What? What did I do? What if he cries seeing your scary look?”
“Kwangie?”
Kikwang’s eyes were teary and he didn’t have time to hide it from Dongwoon, as the latter suddenly showed up.
“Yo, Dongwoon, glad you can make it!”
“Baby, are you crying?”, Dongwoon looked panic as he rushed to his boyfriend’s side. “Dammit guys, what did you do?”
“Us? We-we did nothing, I swear!”, Taeyang answered quickly.
“Did they do bad things to you?”, Dongwoon asked Kikwang and both Taeyang and Seunghyun held up their hands as if to defense themselves. “Did they hurt you?”
Kikwang shook his head as an answer. He managed to prevent the tears to fall, and inside his heart shouted that he wanted to go home, that he didn’t want to be here any longer, but...
“Are you okay?”
If they considered him boring, he at least didn’t want Dongwoon to be thought the same as him.
“Y-yeah...”, Kikwang forced a smile. “I’m-I’m fine...”
Dongwoon gazed at him sharply and took Kikwang’s hand in his. He’s not stupid. He knew something was wrong. He always knew. “You’re not.”
“No, no, really, I’m-“
“Stop lying to me,” Dongwoon gritted his teeth. “That's it. We’re going home.”
“Woonie, it’s okay-“
“We’re going home,” he repeated with a louder tone and Kikwang fell silent.
“You’re going home? But the party’s not done yet,” Taeyang frowned.
“Fuck the party, Hyung, I’m gonna take Kikwang home,” Dongwoon replied as he walked away with Kikwang.
Taeyang gaped and turned to Seunghyun.
“Did he just say fuck? Top, what did I do?”
***
Dongwoon was tired of Kikwang’s definition of ‘okay.’
He said he was okay, but it was obvious that he had been crying. He said he was okay, but Dongwoon could tell with a simple glance that he got a lot in his mind that he didn’t want to share. He said he was okay, while it was not, and Kikwang should just stop doing it because Dongwoon could read him like a transparent glass.
Everytime Dongwoon tried to start a conversation it seemed like Kikwang would run away. Whenever he tried to talk, Kikwang would always give him reasons why he can’t at the moment.
Dongwoon felt like he’s going crazy.
After calling Kikwang for the third time, Dongwoon finally received a text as a reply saying that he’s in class and that he’ll call back as soon as the class ended. The tall male immediately texted back that he’s going to wait and that Kikwang’s going home with him and no more reasons this time.
Dongwoon sighed heavily. He’s really going to wait because he just can’t stand it anymore. It’s the first time Kikwang has acted like this and somewhere deep down inside, he felt scared if, just if, the pretty male was actually wanting to break up or something. For the first time, Dongwoon didn’t know what Kikwang wanted and it’s driving him insane.
“Oppa?”
Dongwoon looked up and he saw Sohyun with a tray of food, smiling at him. “Hi, Sohyunie.”
“Are you with Kikwang-oppa?”
“No, he’s in class.”
“Oh, can I sit here then?”
“Sure.”
Sohyun took a seat and sat facing Dongwoon. She rubbed her stomach and growled. “Ugh, I am so hungry. Have you eaten, Oppa?”
Dongwoon looked down at his untouched lunch. “...I’m not really hungry.”
“But you’re so pale,” Sohyun frowned as she took a bite. “Or are you waiting for Kikwang-oppa to eat together?”
Dongwoon knew that Sohyun was talkative, but right now he’s not really in the mood to talk so he just nodded.
“Oh my God, you and Kikwang-oppa are so much alike.”
“...how so?”
“Are you in a bad mood? Cos the last time I had lunch with Kikwang-oppa he was in a bad mood too because that Hara girl said something really nasty to him-“
“Wait, what?”
Sohyun stopped talking and gulped her food. “God, me and my big mouth...”
Dongwoon frowned at her. “Hara...said something nasty?”
“Um... Didn’t Kikwang-oppa tell you?”
“No.”
“Of course not, stupid, he wasn’t planning on telling him at all,” Sohyun muttered and smacked herself. “Um...okay, I’m gonna shut up now. You can just pretend I said nothing.”
“Sohyunie,” Dongwoon leaned forward. “What did Hara say to Kikwang?”
Sohyun bit her lip and she sighed. “Kikwang-oppa’s going to kill me. And I haven’t even clawed that girl’s face.”
“Sohyunie?”
“Okay okay, I’ll tell you! She said...”
***
I’ll be waiting outside.
Kikwang read the text and put his phone back to his pocket. He dragged his feet with all his might to the gate. In a minute he’s going to see his boyfriend whom he’s been dating for almost two years, but it was like having the first date because all of his insides were turning upside down. He’s just...scared. His heart was beating so fast that he’s scared it would explode.
When Kikwang reached the gate, Dongwoon was already there.
“Hi,” his boyfriend said.
Dongwoon was leaning on his car and he gave him a small smile as Kikwang approached.
“H-hi...”
Kikwang mentally kicked himself for being so obviously nervous.
They got into the car and Dongwoon started the engine. The situation was awkward and none of them said a word. They didn’t say anything even after Dongwoon started driving. All of a sudden the taller male cleared his throat.
“Do you wanna go somewhere?”
“Um? No...not really...”
“Are we breaking up?”
Kikwang didn’t see that coming. His eyes widened at the sudden question and his heart clenched. It was painful to hear. He slowly brought a hand to his chest as if to prevent his heart from blowing out.
“Are we...”, Kikwang trailed off with his lips trembling.
“Cos I’m not breaking up with you, ever.”
Dongwoon’s eyes were fixed on the road but he knew the pretty male was staring at him.
”But...but I’m not like them... I’m not like your friends at the party... I’m not...”
“You are not like them, indeed. But it doesn’t mean that you’re boring. Yes, that’s right, boring, I know what’s been bothering you,” Dongwoon said and gave him a knowing look.
Kikwang blushed and looked away. “But Woonie... I...”
“Baby, you can’t let these kind of things get into your head. So what if you’re not doing what they’re doing? You’re happy. Hey, I’m happy with you. Our relationship is good and that’s what’s important.”
Dongwoon sighed and shook his head.
“You can’t expect people to be happy just by doing those things. Like the ones at Jiyong’s party. I mean, what if they were drunk? What if, the next day, they wake up with the worst hangover and they regret it? It’s okay if they were with their lovers, but what if they weren’t? What would happen then? Wouldn’t it be a disaster?”
“But...”
“No buts. So the reason you freaked out and tensed up whenever I kissed you was that? It was because someone had told you that you’re boring?”
Kikwang looked embarassed and his eyes went down to his hands.
“Oh God, Kwangie...please don’t get easily affected...”
“I know, I know, I’m sorry... I just...”
Dongwoon sucked his breath and brought Kikwang’s hand to his lips. Smooth milky skin...intoxicating scent...long, slender fingers...how could he get bored with such perfection?
“Please keep this in mind, baby... They’re not me. I’m the one who’s in a relationship with you and I certainly don’t think of you as one...”
Kikwang felt ticklish sensation as Dongwoon pressed his lips lightly against the back of his hand.
“If I really think of you that way, then why do we last until now?”
“...because you couldn’t find someone else?”
Dongwoon snorted and rolled his eyes. “Please...the only answer to that question is because I’m not dead yet.”
Kikwang playfully giggled and they stopped at a red light. Dongwoon gave a calming squeeze on his boyfriend’s hand and stroke it with his thumb. It bloomed a smile on Kikwang’s face and he felt calm, and so loved.
“So if we’re not boring, then I guess we’re just...ordinary?”
Dongwoon shrugged casually.
“Maybe we’re just...vintage.”
“Vintage...?”
“Yeah. We’re just...we’re not rushing, we’re not doing it because we want to be cool...so what if kids these days aren’t like us? Maybe it’s important to a relationship, but we don’t think of it as a must...we’re still happy just being ourselves... And maybe, you know...it’s just our style. And our style is different than the others...”
Dongwoon smiled sheepishly and scratched his head.
“Do you think it’s funny?”
Kikwang smiled back and he slowly shook his head. “No... I... I like that. Vintage.”
“Thank God, I thought you’re going to make fun of me or something.”
Kikwang laughed a little and he stared at Dongwoon caringly. He’s the one. The only one who can make him feel better. The only one who can make him smile.
“Thank you, Woonie.”
And suddenly the mood was back. They smiled at each other for a while before Dongwoon pulled Kikwang closer and met their lips. Kikwang closed his eyes and relaxed into the kiss, trying to forget all that’s been bothering him and back at being himself. It all went so naturally. His hand trailed to Dongwoon’s chest, and he slowly opened his mouth, as if to let Dongwoon to deepen the kiss-
-if the car behind them didn’t honk loudly.
Both of them opened their eyes in shock and Kikwang sank on his seat.
“Go baby go!,” he panickly spoke and Dongwoon obeyed.
The light had turned green ten seconds ago.
***
Junhyung passed by with his one arm slung around Hyunseung’s shoulder. They were both lost in their own world, and it was obvious that they didn’t give a damn about their surroundings. Junhyung’s look was clear, he was crazy for the doll face male beside him.
Hara stared at the couple with a seething look but she did nothing. She flipped her hair gracefully, even though she was mourning inside at how easy Junhyung had forgotten about her and move on. She grumbled and went back to read her book.
“Hara-ssi...”
Hara lazily turned to the source of the voice. “I’m kinda busy, Nicole. What do you want?”
“I still can’t get over Dongwoon,” Nicole sat beside her and pouted. “Can we try once again and think of something else this time?”
Hara’s eyes widened in horror. “Dongwoon? No thanks. You can find someone else this time, Nicole.”
“But Hara-ssi, I find a really good plot-“
“Noooo!”
“Hara-ssi!”
Hara ran away before she had to remember all over again the fear Dongwoon gave her.
End.
