6th form, cats and a meme

So, I've finally gotten around to updating again! (Although it's not going to be a very long update this time, that'll come when I've not got work to be getting on with.)

First of all, the meme, stolen from Weebly. I've got two lists of adjectives - one positive and one negative - and I'd like you to pick 5-6 from each list that you think describe me. :)

Negative - Nohari
Positive - Johari

(I've put the - at the end of my name because someone's already stolen Saz for the positive list. Bah!)

6th form is going pretty well. Subjects I'm taking are:

~ Maths
~ Further Maths
~ Physics
~ English Literature
~ IT (technically Software Development)

A brief summary: Maths is going pretty well so far, though it's hard in places and the teacher gets very boring after a while. Monotonous voice, and we do the same thing every lesson. Further Maths is FANTASTIC, and I'm enjoying it a lot. Some extremely interesting stuff about number systems and where they came from. Physics is good, we're doing a lot of similar stuff between Physics and Maths, although we've just lost our second teacher. So it's a bit up in the air at the moment, hopefully we'll get another teacher after half term. English Literature...the subjects are interesting, but the teachers make us feel as if we're back in year 7. Getting a little worried that we're working veeery slowly through the texts, but hopefully we're learning enough. IT is very enjoyable because it's at Hertford Regional College, so the environment is far more laid back, and we're treated like adults. However, the first unit we're doing is Language and Communications, which has very little to do with computers. Quite annoying, but we'll be moving onto more relevant stuff next term. All in all, despite a few concerns/things that aren't perfect, I'm enjoying 6th form so far.

And now the most interesting part: I have a new cat!

You may or may not know, but Heidi, my previous cat, went missing around this time last year. She's always been a bit of an adventurer, disappearing off for a few days here and there, but we figure this time she's found herself a family who have more time to devote to her than we did. Attention-seeking missile! Not to sound clichéed, but I think she's likely to be happy wherever she's ended up. So, since a few months ago, I've been searching for a new furry friend. Finally, at the Wood Green Animal Centre in Heydon, I came across this guy:

Name: Tom
Age: 12

Perfect, as our other cats are about 11, and we wanted someone who was going to be a similar age. He'd never lived with cats before, but he got on well enough at the centre, where there were many cats living in one enclosure. He kept his distance, but he tolerated having other felines around.

So we went up to see him a few times, filled in a load of forms, answered a few questions, paid £50 and then stole him away with us.

He's settling in very well. Having never lived with other cats he's very wary of the other two, but isn't too bothered so long as they don't get too close. He's currently being fed separately from the others until they get more used to each other, and he's not allowed out for another 5 days. Subsequently, his litter tray and food live in my bedroom, which is where he stays most of the time. The disadvantage with this is the moment I leave my chair, I find a cat on it!

Onto the pictures!

So that's how things have been going lately. I'm busy, I've been down with a cold recently, but I'm happy. :) I'm also procrastinating!
