Staring at Xander I was wondering what the hell he was doing here anyway. Not like there's any love lost between him, C and Wesley. From the way I remember things Wes and Xand never really got along and Xander was C's ex-meat. He already dropped the kid off on her fun little adventure to the mother country, and B was...well, B wasn't here. Not like

I stopped and ducked behind the set of shrubs as I saw someone come flying out the front door. A smile crosses my face as I realize who it is, funny the timing of such things. Faith. She's got weapons in her hands and she's screaming at Xander to stay in the house with Cordelia. Cordelia. That was one I was going to fuck with soon, oh yes, I could hardly wait. My attention drifts back to Faith as she hollers at Xander again, he finally slams the door and she starts down the walk. I am sure she'd sense me, but she seems a bit pissed off at the moment. I really should find out why.
"Where's the fire, baby?" I ask as I fall into step beside her.

"Stay here with Cordelia." I said to him before walking to the door and slamming it behind me. Hey, if I gotta play the role of big bad slayer now, I might as well act like it, right? Didn't Buffy used to do this shit all the time? Close everyone out who wanted to help. Besides someone had to make sure everything was five by five with Queen C or she was liable to get herself killed.
I wasn't startled when he fell inot step next to me. Guess I was kinda expectin' it. "I dunno." I said in an even tone, turning around to face my savior. Except it wasn't him. Not anymore. "You tell me. Where's your girl at?"

"My girl? Well, if I knew I'd tell you. She's got this nasty habit of sneaking out and not telling me, she's acting like someone we both now." I stick my hands in my pockets and look at the weapon in her hand. Crossbow. "Ahhh still sticking with your evil weapon of choice, couldn't let go of the love of it after the Mayor thing? That was quite a show, even let me taste Buffy. Too bad you never got to, huh?" Okay yes, I was aiming to piss her off. Why not? Maybe I could score myself two Slayers in one week, wouldn't I be a lucky bastard.
"Why you asking about Buffy anyway? Got an itch or something?" I smirk and turn on heel, walking down the sidewalk away from her. "If I run into her, I'll send her your love."

Aiming the crossbow right at his heart, I waivered for a second. I couldn't take him out because...he was Angel. Somewhere deep down he was Angel. On top of that I didn't have one fucking clue how to track Buffy down. No way, somehow Angelus was gonna be bringing me back to where they lived. One way or another I was savin' Wesley's ass. No one was fucking with my watcher except for me. I owed him.
Moving the crossbow a little to the left, I squeezed down on the trigger and watched an arrow fly through the air and go right through his shoulder. "Where's B? I ain't got all day Soul Boy. You better spill it." I watched as he took the arrow out of his shoulder. Not alot of damage, but how much could I really do without dusting him?
I shrugged. Only one way to find out, right? Using my entire upper body I smashed my fist into the side of his face, sending him stumbling over the road. "I ain't got all day."

"Keep your hands to yourself Slayer, I'm playing nice you should too." I say calmly. "Why are you so desperate to find Buffy, what... did she piss in your Cheerios? I heard you ran into her, actually tried to come find you. Thought we'd play house with you... yano, vampire style." I rub the side of my face where her fist slammed into it and I glared at her again.
"What are you doing here anyway? Fighting the good fight for once? You going to be the goodie two shoe Slayer now, go shopping with Cordelia?" I let the name roll out of my mouth like a threat. "That'd be great fun, wouldn't it?" I reach out in a flash and jerk the crossbow from her hand, sending it across the street behind us. We'd play fair, afterall I was sure she had a knife in her jacket. I did.

Shaking my head I glared at him. He did have a point, he was playing nice so far. Kinda weird but maybe I was takin' the wrong approach. "She's got something I need." I said sharply, and I realized that with all the time I spent standing here gettin' pissed at Angelus, B could be doing who the fuck knows to Wesley right now. Time was a wastin'. And he clearly wasn't buyin' the 'she's got something I need' line. "She took Wesley." I finally admitted, a little defeated. I didn't know what to do, this was my last resort. He was takin' me to her, I didn't care what I had to do.
My crossbow was yanked from my hands suddenly and thrown halfway across the street. Hey! That was mine. Not like I needed it though, and I still had the knife in my pocket. I was the slayer, he better recognize. "This town's only big enough for one badass slayer and your girl's a poor imitation. So why don't you just tell me where she is so I can get my watcher back and you two can go back to playin' house all on your own."

"Always fuckin' things up with your mouth, aren't you Faithy?" I smiled as I shook my head. "You really almost nearly had me at the whole Buffy's got Wes thing, then you have to open that trap and fuck it all up. So what... Buffy's got Wesley. I wonder what delicious things she's doing to him right about now." I step closer to her, looking down at her with a smug look. I could smell the blood in her mouth and it was all I could do not to grab her and kiss that right out of her mouth.
"Think I'll go find out just what's going on. See you around." I start walking down the sidwalk once again, smirking as I hear her heels pounding behind me. "Just can't let it go can ya'?"

With an annoyed sigh I started to follow him. I idly thought about just stalking him, hiding in the shadows and hoping he'd eventually bring me home to his bitch. But he'd smell me with those damn vamp senses and play games with me. I didn't know how I was gonna win this one, but this wasn't the way.
Easily I caught up to him and fell into step beside him. He barely glanced at me as he kept walking. "I need to find Wesley. I promise I won't hurt B, I just need Wes." Great, here I was trying to plead my case to an evil fucking vampire. Great strategy, Faith. No wonder you'll always be slayer number two. Everyone's got needs. Everyone's got wants to. I knew how the world worked. But what the hell could he possibly want from me.
"I can make a deal with you." I said suddenly, knowing I had his attention now.
Reply
"A deal? You make deals with vampires now? Vampires like me?" I let a laugh roll up out of my chest, sounding just as crazy as I really was. "That's rich Faith, what do you you have that I would possibly want? Unless you're going to offer me Cordelia in a bow, I'll have to decline." I waited in good measure to hear her case, listen to her plea for Wesley's life. What the fuck did I care? It was Wes. A pussy whipped little Watcher without a clue in the world. I rolled my eyes.
"Time is Wesley, Faith... speak up." I reached out and gave her a small shove to get her attention. "What do you have to offer me that could be even worth my while? I've got pretty much all I want right now, and she's having a ball with your little tweed as we speak." I rubbed the back of my neck and looked at her impatiently.

"I can't give you Cordelia." Although the thought was a little tempting. I did owe Wesley and the only thing I owed Cordelia was...well I guess an apology for that elbow to the face. God dammit, I just couldn't win, could I? Everything had to be so fucking hard.
I was lost in thought when he shoved me and pushed me a little off balance, forcing me to look up at him again. Crossing my arms over my chest I frowned. "Whatever you want. But it can't involve hurting anyone else." By anyone else I thought I was making it pretty clear that didn't include me. I wasn't sure how far exactly I'd go to get Wes out of the jam he was in now. But minute by minute I was figurin' it all out, and it sucked.

"I have an idea, and oh yeah... it'll go this way or no way." I announce, snapping her back to the reality of it all. "A trade. You for him. Take it or leave it. You leave it, Wesley dies and there's nothing in this world that will make me stop Buffy from killing him." I give her a moment to contemplate before I start walking off again. I would wander the streets all night if she didn't answer me, giving Buffy more than ample time to take care of business.
"Take all the time you need darlin'... Wes's waiting." I called back over my shoulder with a smirk, my feet randomly carrying me forward.

But fuck. I couldn't just let Wes die. And Angel...er Angelus was right. Time was tickin' and every fucking second counted. Maybe...I mean, I had a way better chance of fighting them off then Wes did. Shaking my head and squeezing my eyes shut I realized I had to act fast. Somehow I knew I was doin' the dumb thing, like I always did. But everything was a game with Angelus, right? I'd play, and I'd win. Sure, I didn't exactly have the best luck with winning but something told me my luck was about to change. Either way I had to bail Wes out. I just had to.
"Wait." I caught up again with him easily sort of annoyed at how he kept leavin' me in the dust. "What do you mean me for him?" I wasn't just gonna let him kill me, he better be more specific than that.

"Faithy, you're really not that dumb are you?" I ask her sarcastically. "A trade. You for him. It means whatever I want it to me, we're playing by my rules now. You've got no ground here. Kill me, you not only kill Angel but you kill your precious Wes too. Fuck with me and you'll never know where they are. So... take it or leave it, last offer." I look at her face as she takes it all in, I let out an annoyed sigh.
"Faith, this isn't the great debate. It's like Monopoly, you land on Boardwalk you buy it." I move to her and grip her arm roughly, shoving her forward. "Move, or he dies. Don't move, you both die." I wasn't about to let her just walk off after this, no... there would be some type of payment.

"Fine. If Wes walks, I'll take his place." Wasn't sure exactly what that meant but I was pretty sure it somehow involved me ending up as a corpse. But hell no, that wasn't how I was goin' out. I knew I'd die young but not tonight and not like this.
I stumbled a little when he shoved me and glared at him some more. Thing was, if push came to shove I would stake his sorry ass. Angel would want me to. But I really really didn't want to. I was a vampire slayer, unlike B I knew I was supposed to stake the vamps and not get busy with them. I'd do whatever I had to do, to get Wesley the fuck out of there and save my own ass at the same time.
Why was I so hellbent on saving Wesley anyway? I mean sure, I pretty much fucked him over wicked bad, but he'd fucked me over too. Now here I was offerin' myself up to save him. I didn't even wanna go into that Psych 101.

"I can't wrap my brain around the fact that you just made a deal with a vampire." I say suddenly. "That's the difference between you and Buffy. She'd never do this, never make a deal with a vampire. Fuck them and leave them sure, kill them later even though she loved them, you betcha. Ram a sword through a heart to save the world, any day of the week. Weak, maybe that's it. You're weak."
I kicked a rock on the ground and watched as it skipped along the pavement. I lead us through a park, dark and wooded, in an effort to stall yet again. I was wondering when she'd realize I was stalling, wondered if she would actually act like a Slayer and not a baby after a piece of meat that was probably half dead.
"Why are you so worried about Wesley anyway, didn't you try to kill him once already? Awww how sweet, are we playing redemption?" I raise a brow with a broad smirk on my face.

Grabbing him by his jacket I shoved him roughly into a park bench. "Stop wasting my time. Take me to where she is now, or the deal's off. Got me?" I demanded, my eyes flashing dangerously at him as he climbed back up to his feet.
Don't fuck with me. I was standin' on the edge and I wasn't even sure why. I should have just staked Angelus and be done with it. He didn't even seem that big and bad. Angel was scarier than he was.
