Long time no write!

So we had the wake and the funeral for my great-grandmother. It was pretty rough. The wake was bad when we first got there. I walked in and saw her and started crying. My family and I had to get there an hour or so before the wake started and we just basically all cried. Then people started coming, and things weren't AS bad then. And then we went to my grandmother's house for a while and ate some of the massive amount of food people had been bringing us. The next morning we had to get up really early for the funeral. That wasn't fun, either. That was even worse than the wake. We had to go back to the funeral home again for some prayer thing, and then we had to leave. Even my dad cried. Hard. It was really sad. And when we got to the church, my family and I had to walk in together up the aisle and sit in the front. I cried off and on during the mass...a lot. My mom did the eulogy and it was really good. We cried for that, too, but it was still really good. And then when we were walking out, they played my great-grandmother's favorite song, and that was really sad, too. After that we had to go to the cemetary. Then we went for dinner at this fancy place and had it catered and stuff. Then we went to my grandmother's house for more food. I went swimming with Ben and my cousins. We had some second cousins there, too, who we had just met. I kept thinking about how happy my great-grandmother must have been to have them there, and then I kept remembering she wasn't even there. So, yeah, it was a pretty sad few days. I had asked my mom if I could have the necklace my great-grandmother always wore, and she got it for me when she was at my grandmother's house, so I have that, now, which I'm really happy about. And the afghans.

Other than that, not much else has been going on...just camp, basically. The kids are still great. I love them. They call me and Meg (the other counselor with my group) "Camp Mommy". It's so cute. ^_^ The garage on our house is finally moving along. They put the roof on today. Yay. :-)

8 more days till Soul Fest. I so can't wait. A 3 hour drive with the girls, and we're on our own for 4 days. It's gonna be so great. And this year we get to stay on Saturday night and Sunday. That's the best part. :-D

Well, I suppose that's about all that's gone on in the 12 days I haven't written in here. Oh, and that I never got to go to PA cuz of the wake and funeral. I don't know when we're gonna be going, but hopefully it's sometime soon.
