It actually looks as if my graphics card is well and truly screwed this time. I have a simple Radeon 9200, and I know full well where to pick up drivers for it. I also how to install them, in more than one way, and from various disks via various unpacking tricks. None work. In the end, I sit scouring my HDD for any and all ATI software, cleanse it with burning fire, and sit downloading the same driver version from a multiple of sites, only to hit a brick wall over and over.

The unpacking of files goes well. The installation, however, simply does not happen. It just won't. Catalyst install manager, all fi~ne. But drivers? Where are they? Uninstalled, TAUNTING me from the .bin folder, and it's been like this for the past week soon. I can't even scroll down a browser page without the whole thing chopping. It's amazing. My tech friend told me to reinstall XP (my cd's are halfway across the country), and another one said fffffuuuuu your computer is 12 years old GET A NEW ONE. And after fighting with this for too long, I am this close to getting myself caught in an imbroglio of debt and 23% annual interests just to be rid of the hotbed of trouble this pc has been for the past eight years. God. Fuck.

wryyy, economy
