New York and Thanksgiving
So life is good.
Tyler invited me to NYC for a weekend to visit him. Im pumped. Only thing is that I cant request time off for at least two weeks after MacWorld (Jan 15) and my dad wont let me cash in my free miles. Ugh. $250 for a plane ticket, but whatever. Im thinking Feb 1-5. Its gonna rule.
In other words we all got new shirts with different sayings at work. There are 5 different kinds... Mine has a Macbook on the front and says "The end of regifting... and rebooting" on the back. Theyre red too, which is cool because Im getting sick of wearing black all day every day.
I joined up the stock program at work. The stock jumped $3 this week according to our FEDEX guy. Hes cool I like him. Too bad I dont get stock until Jan 1. $3 jump... I wonder what could possibly be going on... hmmmmmm.
So for the month of Dec our store ordered 9,000 ipods. We have appointed door greeters (mostly new hires) for the day after Thanksgiving. Im sure were going to reach our fire limit, so we have to keep track of how many people we let in. Im working the 945-645 shift. Im in accessories as a back up cashier. And we have to park in the Rock Financial Showcase on the other side of Novi Rd. and be bussed in. Should be interesting... reports to follow up on.
Still havent heard about the Creative position... I hope I get it. I dont wanna have to work in Ann Arbor. Well actually I do, Im just worried about potential coworkers down there...
And the bratty sis is coming down for a day and I half. I have to participate in picking her and her three friends up from the airport. You read right... three. She is bringing three friends for Thanksgiving for 1.5 days. And they each have their own suitcase. My sister has 2, but for a legit reason... shes staying for a month starting the first week of Dec. But why the three friends had to each bring a suitcase is a fucking mystery, especially since it way inconveniences me now that one vehicle isnt enough. When I go to NY, Im bringing a fucking backpack and a laptop bag with my Macbook Pro and makeup. For 5 days.
