Have you played in an LJ based game before? Sadly never. This is my first time. Please be gentle!
Bonus: How did you hear about Siren's Pull? Three of my friends who already play here and will be helping me as I’m starting out.

Character Information

General
Canon Source: One Piece
Canon Format: Manga and Anime
Character's Name: Vivi Nefertari
Character's Age: 18

What form will your character's NV take? A modified Den Den Mushi (It’s a little like a snail shaped phone, if you’re unfamiliar), capable of video as well as audio and is sturdier than the average Den Den Mushi (in the event that Vivi trips and lands on it). Video is recorded and projected from the eyes.

Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: Although physically weak, Vivi is very agile and is able to move unnoticed, having slipped into the Baroque Works and become one of the single digit agents without anybody realizing who she was.
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? Power over sand (as well as dirt and small stones, as sand isn’t abundant in Siren’s Port, I assume). She'd be able to move them around, make small shields or sandcastles, etc. Vivi is from the desert she has a natural closeness with the sand. It’d also be a kick in the face for Crocodile, her least favorite person, to have the little princess that toppled his empire to gain similar powers to his.
Weapons: None!

History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History: Have a wiki link: http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Vivi Vivi is the daughter of the king of Alabasta. When her kingdom was threatening to collapse from rebellion and drought, she infiltrated the mysterious Baroque Works to find out who was really behind the drought. In the two years that she was undercover she was able to raise to the rank of the single digits and discover that it was the hero of Alabasta, the Shichibukai, Crocodile.

When the Straw Hats arrive at Whiskey Peak, Vivi and her partner, Igram, are sent to kill them, but after a strange twist of fate Igram begs the Straw Hats to take Vivi back to Alabasta so that she can warn her father of Crocodile’s plot. She comes to depend on the Straw Hats and eventually musters her courage to ask them to help her overthrow Crocodile and bring peace to her country.

In true Straw Hat style, they quickly agree and proceed to do just that. And in an epic battle that destroys a good part of the capitol city, Alubarna, they manage to topple Crocodile and the Baroque Works.

After the dust has settled and Luffy is properly gorged himself on the castle’s food, the Straw Hats ask Vivi to join the crew. Despite her love for the Straw Hats and the fun she had while sailing with them, she ultimately decides that her kingdom needs her and stays behind.

She has no part in the main story after Straw Hats leave Alabasta, but is occasionally shown to be keeping track of their progress by newspaper. Her last appearance in the manga is immediately before the time skip, contemplating Luffy’s bizarre announcement.

Point in Canon: Just before the time skip, after reading about Luffy’s announcement.

Character Personality: Vivi was raised with the responsibility of her country. Even as a child she understood what being a princess meant and acted with wisdom beyond her years. When slapped by Wapol, she apologized for being in his way, holding off her tears until he is out of earshot, for fear of starting an incident.

This quality remains as she grows into an adult. When they reach Drum Island, she is able to persuade Luffy to not attack the villagers and even putting on a brave face after being shot in the arm. Her courage convinces the villagers to allow them into the village peacefully.

She puts the needs of others far above her own needs and wants and is hesitant to rely on others or ask for help with her problems. When Nami fell ill Vivi made the decision to detour to Drum Island in the hopes of finding a doctor, rather than continuing straight on to Alabasta, losing a lot of time but saving Nami’s life.

She is modest and seldom dresses or acts like a typical princess would. She is slow to anger and quick to forgive but she is fiercely loyal to her friends, her family, and her country and is willing to stand up to great odds to protect them, even facing down Crocodile and the entire Baroque Works to clear her father’s name and restore peace to her country.

When she is preoccupied she tends to be forgetful to a fault, however. For instance, she forgets to warn the Straw Hats of the danger of the desert until after it is too late and they’ve already been attacked. She also manages to let slip Crocodile’s true identity to the Straw Hats…right in front of the Unluckies.

Despite this, she can be very deceptive. At 14, she was able to infiltrate Baroque Works and, over the course of 2 years, rose quickly through the ranks to the single digit agents without anybody realizing that she’s the princess of the country they’re working to collapse.

Her sincerity and kindness and the great lengths she goes to for the sake of her friends and her country makes her inner light shine out and attract people to her.
Character Plans: She’d want to find someone familiar first, a friend or at the very least a friend of a friend. She’d want to establish herself as quickly as she could so she wouldn’t have to inconvenience others. She would also want to help others in any way that she can.

Writing Samples

First Person Sample
[The video starts out blurred then slowly focuses in on a young woman with long blue hair who sits a short distance off, rubbing her head.]

Where…where am I?

[She looks around in the gloom and sees the little modified Den Den Mushi sitting in the mud.]

Funny, I don’t remember having one of these in the stable…Maybe Father put it in the bag… But where is my bag…[She picks it up gingerly.]

Hello? Can anyone hear me? [Her voice is somewhat hesitant and she looks over the camera, unaware that it’s recording video.]

Third Person Sample

Vivi sat up slowly, massaging her head. It ached. Her whole body ached. It was like she had been trampled by a flock of spot nosed ducks.

Carue! Where was Carue?? She looked around nervously into the gloom. The last thing she remembered was saddling him up to go to Nanohana. She was to meet some diplomats at the mouth of the river and, if she was lucky, grab the newspaper before it made it to Alubarna.

She rubbed her arms, suddenly aware of the cold dampness, wishing she had her travelling coat. The chill went through her thin dress and into her bones. She took a deep breath to calm her nerves and coughed as the clammy air hit her lungs. She was used to the dry heat of the desert. She missed the sun.

“Where…where am I?” she asked the empty air. She looked around again, peering into the fragile morning light. Her gaze landed on an odd looking Den Den Mushi. It was small, fitting into the palm of her hands. “Funny, I don’t remember having one of these with me… Maybe Father dropped it into my bag for safety. Where is my bag?”

She searched the muddy ground but saw no sign of her bag or anything else. Wherever she was, it certainly wasn’t the stables or even Alabasta.

She took another steadying breath and spoke to the Den Den Mushi, praying that someone might be in distance, and that someone would be friendly. “Hello? Can anyone hear me?”
