Interesting! I re-read the book not too long ago and got some curious vibes off Laurie's first meeting with the Comedian, so I'm intrigued by what might have happened if Sally hadn't shown up when she did. I like how you've characterized the Comedian--it's interesting to see how he justifies this to himself.

Thanks for reading! I was pretty interested in that as well. I kept wondering if the Comedian was purely interested in Laurie because she was Sally's daughter & likely his child or a bit of something else. And to me, Laurie seemed to be a little taken with him. I've always been a little too interested in what goes on in Blake's head. I might do another fic or so with this pairing.
