OMG, how enjoyable was everything in that finale? I know there will be some extreme backlash - that's fandom for you! - though it's everything I could have possibly wanted. I do not talk about my shipping preferences often but I am proper OT3 shipper with Eleven and Amy and Rory. They have the best interactions when they are all on equal foot, and this episode gave me that with such a fantastic ending!
And remember when Rory going on and on about wanting a normal life? Yeah that desire apparently gone now. IDEK. I talked about my reservations with Amy and Rory's wedding with calikalie earlier this week, truth be told, and how I hoped Rory's change of heart would be earnest and true to his character. Now that it happened, I AM VERY JOYOUS. It was pretty much established he's happy wherever Amy is at and he did have fun traveling with the Doctor, so it makes sense that he'll leave Leadworth. And does that mean Rory's going to be a full-time companion next series? Will Arthur have his name on the credits? ARE WE GOING TO HAVE A PROPER THREE MAN TEAM WITH AMY AND HER BOYS?
And oh Amy. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY ABOUT HER RIGHT NOW. I LOVE HER. I LOVE HER. I LOVE AMELIA JESSICA POND. SHE'S BRILLIANT, PERFECT, ETC ETC. I secretly judge if you admit to not loving her - her interactions, her personality, her face - just her. And yeah her parents are also hilarious. I wonder if we are going to see more of them in series six.
THEN MY GIRL RIVER SONG. HBIC. THE WAY SHE TOOK OUT THAT DALEK. "CHECK AGAIN." "AGAIN." And I found my new profile GIF when she destroyed Eleven's hat. Also their conversation was, like, a confirmation that we'll be seeing her in series six too. Y/Y? I'll be so depressed if she doesn't do another appearance next year. TL;DR I loved it. Moffat gave me a brilliant series five and I have no problem about naming it my favorite so far. I can't wait to torrent this in twenty minutes now. :')
