I'll make an announcement about it. After I redo your braid we should go looking for some herbs, roots, and berries. Perhaps we can find something to make union soup.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have shorter hair. But then I wouldn't be protecting the gift that could help people, if I cut it.

[Aurora smiles and suddenly grabs Rapunzel's hand, pulling her over to still water. She plays with Rapunzel's hair and smiles.]

Go ahead and look in the water now.

[If Rapunzel looks, Aurora has made it so it looks like Rapunzel's hair is shoulder length, just slightly past that.]

Well, I'm not surprised about that. [She laughed as she started the process of brushing and braiding Rapunzel's hair.] But now you know and if you ever do decide to cut your hair, we can figure out how you would like it.

Even if I wanted to cut it, I think I should keep it as is. Even though I don't think Mother was right about all she told me, she was right in that a gift like mine should be protected. If I cut it, I wouldn't be able to help people who were hurt.

You can still help people, not in the same way perhaps, but there's so much more to you than just your hair, Rapunzel. You are a very brave and wonderful woman who can do amazing things. I think, even if you didn't have your gift you'd still help people as best as you could.

But that's the thing, though, Aurora! [turning to make her point as earnestly as she can, forgetting she might be disturbing the other's work on her hair] You don't have to have a gift like this to be something special.
