food and football
Today, Mike and Josh came over to watch the Husky game and other football with me and I made some chicken lasanga rolls and bean dip. Mike and Josh brought chips and beer. Tomorrow, we'll all be getting together at Mike's to watch more football, so Mike took the snack leftovers and beer with him. It was nice to have company for a lazy Saturday since I wouldn't have done work anyways. It would have been nice if the Huskies could have played a bit better though, the game was ok for awhile, then it just got really bad.
And, in recent excitement from my super-cool apt., there is some guy lying in the parking lot of the gas station, and a fire truck just showed up, and a police car was already there with a police man possibly talking to the guy laying on the ground. Interesting. I guess the dude's not dead if the police man was talking to him and not taping off the crime scene, too much tv for me. Yeah the guy is def. moving around a bit, and the ambulance is here now to take him away. I guess this makes 3 times that I have noticed some big grouping of emergency vehicles near my apt. (2 in the gas station, one in front of my building).
In other news it has been raining for enough days now that I can't actually remember when it started (Wed. maybe?), but today it rained a little harder than it has so far, and they keep saying that so many storms are coming in a row that there will likely be flooding. Yay. At least this morning when I bought groceries, it wasn't raining as hard, and I haven't had to go out again. Maybe it will be nice-ish when I go to church and waterpolo tomorrow.
Ah well, the excitement seems to be over at the gas station and I'm not making any progress on my hw (who does hw on a Sat. night?) so perhaps I will head to bed, since I am old and programmed to wake up a little early, with the help of the cats of course.
