i lost my upass/ upass found

That sums up my day. I guess that's not really fair, but it does kind of, and it's the main thing on my mind right now. Did the walk-through on my new place, tried to arrange painting for it since the walls are so scuffed, but my landlady hasn't called me back yet to even say it's ok and she'll pay for it if I find someone to do it. My buspass fell out while walking to the bus-stop to go to the walk-through, but I heard it and picked it up. Apparently it fell out again sometime this afternoon. Hopefully it's in the chem building somewhere, but it could be on the way to or from the pool, and I walked back the long way with Alyssa tonight, so I guess I'll re-take that route tomorrow. I'm really hoping someone finds it either way and looks up my email or office phone number and lets me know where it is. Starting Saturday, I'll live too far away to walk to school, so I'll really need it. Apparently I dropped it near the Law Building, I can't even think of where it is. But some kind soul found it and emailed me.

But on a brighter note, tonight we had a fun swim practice and went out to dinner to say goodbye to Kim, our coach, who has taken an assistant coaching position at West Point. We're all sad to see her go, but happy for her. There is a bit of stress about what will happen to our team once Mickey leaves (he's going to be head coach at West Point). Apparently only UW affiliates should be allowed to use the pool, and we got good pool time before because one of our coaches was the assistant UW coach and the head UW coach was watching out for us. The pool's going to be closed for August for renovation anyways, so we'll see what happens in September.

In summary, this has to be the worst time ever for me to have lost my upass. Now this day has ended quite nicely, and I feel much better.
