disregarding all logical thought. [gluttony]

Novak knows that perhaps peeling away from those other guys was probably a really bad idea, and that you should always stick together in groups, but right now he's too grumpy to listen to logic. The bear kebabs did not fill him. As a matter of fact, he's even hungrier than ever and pissed off. He does not want to spend time around Hastur and Kristoph Gavin's brother, regardless of how nice he may be. And the rest of them - he just doesn't care.

He also knows that this banquet is definitely a trap. There have been fewer larger traps in Novak's life - nexus, lizard, human - but he is hungry. He is hungry, achingly so. The bear kebabs seem like ages ago, and stuffing his face at the party may have actually never happened. As a matter of fact, he may have never eaten before right now.

Naturally, with hunger so ravenous comes the bloodlust, and it creeps up in the most horrific ways possible. It whispers in his ear about Flavius and Klavier and Phoenix, who's here. About Jeff and Jonathan and whoever else the Nexus has got its unfortunate claws about. So there's a reason, right?

The roast chicken tries to attack him, but he claws it viciously and takes an enormous bite. God, that is fucking good. God, that is fucking good. Good enough that when he's done with the first whole chicken, spitting out bones as he goes - he reaches for a second. Maybe this is wrong, that he's now gone through four chickens, six steins of beer, and a lot of food and he's still totally starving, but he just chalks it up to his usual ravenous appetite and reaches for more.

Meanwhile, his usual form may have faded a bit. His deep green has faded to a sickly, ill sort of color, and all the muscle has begun to pull back. With the muscles tugged back, he looks like a monster.

More than usual.

He's even feeling more monstrous than usual. Hunger does that to him. Especially hunger that won't go away.
