Far from home, farther from comfort [Wrath]

She doesn't know how much time has passed since that fight with the trees. And really, Mitsuru's not sure if she can even figure it out. Her mind is more busy swimming around in slow, tired circles, and telling her how heavy her eyelids feel.
Walking in heels isn't easy, but it's even harder now that her legs don't feel like keeping her up. It's all that she can do to stagger towards what looks like a relatively safe place, promising her head and body that once she's there, she'll give both some rest.

There's enough clarity left in her head that Mitsuru does double check the tree in front of her for any hanging vines, bunches of dubious looking fruit, or anything that could potentially take her head off. But nothing jumps out at her (except that there's a hint of orange in the corner of her vision; shouldn't she head towards that? Her head then pounds insistently, and she decides investigating that can wait.) so so she settles down under it.

Those spells with Penthesilea took more out of her then she thought, and the after effects of calling up that much ice are still making her skin crawl.

...Although it doesn't occur to her that the crawling sensation going up her back could be something other then her skin, or that a sudden pressure in the back of her neck isn't just in her head. There's even an odd moment where she suddenly gets the mental image of thousands of centipede legs clambering over the bare part of her back, digging at her neck-

And then nothing. She's back to feeling sore, tired, and more then ready to lean back against the tree and forget those images.

Ugh. Phobic images and stress; two things she hopes a short nap will cure her of.
