Okay, I won't bother to write down what happened since there are people who have done that far, far better than I ever would, but I got the chance to go to the Arashi's charity event. After a HILARIOUS life!fail in which my completely lacking sleep ass failed to even commit a crime right (I will so not explain this), I found myself experiencing the cuteness IN PERSON. I guess the thing that left the biggest impression on me was that, yes, they are as fucking beautiful in real life as they are on TV. I mean, I knew that, but I actually saw them in person and was like D'AWWW you guys are so precious. And when they passed by on the moving carts at the very end I got to see them pretty well. And Aiba was always facing/dorking around with my section. YESSSS.
Nino and Ohno are economy-size trolls (they were seriously touching/poking/gossiping to each other THE WHOLE TIME in the background), Jun and Aiba are long and lanky (oh god Aiba is hilarious when he moves, I can't even? his limbs are EVERYWHERE) (Jun is actually really graceful, it's kind of unreal), and Sho is... manly? Okay, I know we know all these things, but when you see someone in real life you can really be all, 'Oh hey, it's THIS body type!' and it suddenly makes so much more sense.
It was really fun. :D Watching them you'd never have realised that they'd already done the same thing a few times; they were so professional and obviously putting on the best show they could. And by that I mean they were themselves, because Nino's calculations made absolutely no sense, Sho's lesson was totally Tの嵐 REVIVED, and Jun was such a DoS about torturing people by making them power electrical tools with their bodies. Brilliant.
I respect them so much. Guys. Oh my god. I'm not a crazy fan, I swear, but it did get to me. They sang Furusato at the end and it was so lovely, ngggh. Moving on!
I also got the chance to meet with my friends, Ayumi and Chiharu, who had studied abroad at Iowa last year! They are so great, I love them. ;n; It's kind of a chore/expensive to get from Nagoya to Tokyo, so I haven't had much chance to hang out with them. The above photo is a dish I got at a Thai restaurant we went to... spicy, but delicious.
All in all, the whole trip to Tokyo was the BEST birthday present to myself ever. :)
Oh, and I wrote a totally shameless
Sho/Nino fic for the
je-summer meme. Go see!
