FIRST OF ALL.

CHYEAAAAH. どう?

(Drama spoilers ahoy?) I watched the first episode of Freeter Buys a House today! And holy shit, was it sort of depressing. Tell me if you want to talk about it.

School's been fine, but I had a lot of tests this week. /DEAD. And we still have our conversation test on Thursday, so I may as well die. Oh, and after that, the first week of November is 'reading week,' in which we don't go to classes but receive a large amount of homework and other papers to do. I asked my friend Chris how it was for him last semester, and he said he got about 50 (?!) pages of kanji work to do over reading week. Obviously, I am brimming with excitement.

More random facts about Japan!
* ...people will ALWAYS stare at you, because you are a foreigner. Yes. Always.
* except when you're with a Japanese friend and having a reasonably legit sounding conversation, in which case people don't stare much. In my case, anyway, because I am the size of most Japanese girls and I've been asked if I'm 'half' (half Japanese, half something else) before.
* PEOPLE DRIVING ARE CRAZY REALLY. We may make fun of Japanese celebrities being bad drivers, but everyone is crazy here. I am not joking. People should not be allowed to drive, I don't care if they had to spend 30,000 yen on it.

"Yeah, maybe we shouldn't have!" Nino yells suddenly, throwing the knife down on the tiles with shocking force. "Maybe if we hadn't, I wouldn't have had to dream about what it was like to sleep in his arms for four fucking years now--"

He breaks off, looking horrified with himself, and runs out of the kitchen.

"Shit," Jun says, and downs the rest of his beer.

Two minutes later and on his fourth beer of the night he becomes aware of a strange snorking coming from the side closet. When he opens the door he sees that Aiba's wedged himself into the towels and the dishes. There's a tear tracking down Aiba's cheek and he looks wretched, breathing hlub-hlub-hlub through his nose.

"You've got to be kidding me," Jun sighs, pulling Aiba out by one slight wrist. "This is why Nino doesn't tell you these things."

"Jun, Jun, shut up," Aiba sniffles. "This is bad, okay - it's worse than I thought--"

"Well, what did you even expect?"
