[Sonic's been out on guard, checking to see who's been going in as well. He spotted Rena so he approached.]

[He looked at the portal, still somewhat amazed that it was actually there. It was hard, he didn't know if it would work either.]

... I still don't. Even if it is true, then no regrets. If it is true, then you never know, this might happen again, despite what the letter says.

It does seem like a trap, doesn't it?

[He really couldn't blame anyone for wanting to see if it worked. Now that he knew that being here was having an effect on home, it did bother him. Going home would be great, but he didn't like the price of it this time.]

There's some people who're gonna try it no matter what, so maybe they were relying on that, and that if they do disappear, other people would follow 'em.

I don't like it though, it really is too much of a trap to me. Why now? And why like this?

[His ears perked at her reaction. No, nothing here made much sense other than, what he could think of at the moment, was getting to know everyone. Those friendships were real to him, and it was what was keeping him here. He moved closer to her, to stand beside her now.]

Rena can't be selfish. To think of yourself and run away only ends in more problems.

You're not bein' selfish if you're thinkin' about it this much, Rena.

It might be in danger, but it's gonna take a while. I still think we're gonna get outta here before that even happens, and I gotta believe that whatever the consequences are, things are gonna still turn out all right in the end.

It'll be okay. I don't know when, but it will be. I'm gonna make sure it is, 'long as I'm here to fight. I have to think that everyone else back home is fighting too with all they got.
