Ahhh, at last, I'm finally taking the time to make a post. So... Hello.
I'm still working on the stuff for the Argentine competition, but with a little change in the program: Debussy's Arabesque instead of Ravel's Toccata. Why? Well... To save time. Also, Grieg's concerto instead of Rachmaninov's, to save time also. Now, I still need to do both of these, along with the tango suite. Not ready at all. It needs to happen in only a couple of weeks... I'm pumped though. It's my only change, and I'm ready to work for it, no matter what it means!
I'm going to buy tickets tomorrow for Acid Mothers Temple, which is next Wednesday. It's only 10 bucks, and I don't think I have anything important due the day after, so I'll just spend a sleepy school day and it'll all be fine. But what I'm really excited for is... Summer Fest 2011! I've never been before but I'm going this year, mainly just because Beirut is playing. Hopefully, I'll get to see them again over the summer in France. This is excitiiiing, they're a great band.
And our group, which now has a name (1858 in Wales -The Nottingham Ensemble-) had its first rehearsal two weeks ago and will have another one this upcoming week. Afterwards, we're auditioning for gigs cause we're beasts like that.
There was the orchestra trip last weekend... It was pretty fun. I don't feel like making a detailed speech about it, though. We visited the ship Lexington at Corpus Christi, found a passageway that we weren't supposed to take. After 10 minutes roaming in the dark and tripping on those stupid door things, we found an awesome spot right above the water. Definitly most fun part of it all.
... Yeaaaaahhhh I really should work on my essay.
