Kicking around on a piece of ground in your hometown
Have been sent home from work this morning and strongly encouraged to stay home tomorrow too if my cold from hell hasn't cleared up any. Given that it's all nicely settled in my chest, I think I'll be having a sleep in tomorrow. Thank God I've accrued some holiday days that I can use up!
So, I decided it's about time I posted some photos.
First things first, I can't get enough of the view from my bedroom:
I'm hanging out for the day that we find a sofa that will fit nicely in the bay window, so I can wile away hours just gazing out at the view. It would be perfect, for example, on a day like today.
Yesterday, Si and I went out on the Peninsula to Sandfly Bay in the hope that a bit of exercise might help me shake the bug. It didn't, but Sandfly Bay is gorgeous. The climb back up the sand dunes to the car however? Not so cool. Ultimately though, it was worth it to see the beach, and the three Sea Lions that were basking in the sand.
