Wooyoung’s mind left him at same moment Taecyeon told him to go away of his room. Since then, he have been acting like one of the walking dead he is afraid of, the only difference is he needs to go to class. For the past few days, Wooyoung didn’t meet Taecyeon even if they live together at the same place. He knew Taecyeon went to Jay’s home, his best friend in Incheon, but Junsu told him this. And that hurt a lot.
He tried to put effort to concentrate in what Mr. Kim said about British Literature; by trying he meant writing down Taecyeon’s name in his notebook for the past two hours.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Junho asked one more time, when they were walking in the hallway. Wooyoung nodded, Junho didn’t buy it.
“Yeah, keep lying to me”.
“I’m not lying”.
“Your face says otherwise plus I talked with Nichkhun who talked with Taecyeon”. Wooyoung lost his breath, he forgot how to walk. One step, one, one, two steps, right? Junho wrapped Wooyoung’s arm, both stopped walking. “You told him”
“Yes” He could hear Taecyeon’s voice hunting him down every time he remembers the scene. “But he…”
“He is a dumbass” Wooyoung pouted, Junho didn’t care. “He is a douchebag, dumbass, stupid nerd.”
Wooyoung pushed Junho’s chest, something was burning inside him. “What are you saying?! Taecyeon is a good guy!”
“No, he isn’t. “
“He is!”
“He is just a moron.” Before Wooyoung punched Junho’s cheek, well, he planned to do it; Junho talked again with serious tone. “He is so into you. He has the opportunity to show it and he blew up. So yeah, he is a moron”.
Wooyoung blinked, his cheeks turned red, thought went back and forward into his mind. Maybe he misunderstood the meaning of Junho’s word, maybe Junho is being an asshole playing jokes with him. Or maybe, and this maybe was the most terrifying of them, maybe Taecyeon was really into him.
“Look, I won’t push myself in the middle of this. But I’m a little sick of you acting like a drama queen and Taecyeon acting like he doesn’t care. I would like to see my two friends together again, it’s been a long week now so you better talk to him or I’ll kick your skinned ass.”
Junho gave him one more look before going his way to meet with his boyfriend, Chansung, at the Starbucks outside the building. Wooyoung keeps watching the floor, thinking and thinking what to do or say. If Taecyeon left him as a zombie, this talk have converted him into a ghost, pure paled and ignored by everyone.
He came back home, his feet walked for itself. Opened the door, he got in not knowing what to do. Like a good student, he won’t do the homework right away, maybe at night. So that leaves him with nothing else to do but lying down on his bed, watching the ceiling and thinking about that person who lives with him.
“Wooyoung”, a voice said his name, Wooyoung turned around to see Taecyeon standing in the middle of his room. He looked tired, also sad? When he got there? Wooyoung jumping out of the bed, Taecyeon moved closer. “Are…mm.. You… I’m sorry”.
“You? Sorry? For what?” he tried to hide the fact he wanted to hug that giant guy, or maybe he desired to punch him for being away too many days. “It’s okay, I guess. Let’s move on”.
“Let’s not” Taecyeon came so closer to Wooyoung; he just moved his arms a little to caress Wooyoung’s shoulders. “I’m sorry for acting like an asshole”.
“But…”
“Let me talk” Wooyoung remained quiet, losing himself between Taecyeon’s brown eyes. “I acted like an asshole; I knew… you …mm...I knew you like me; I was hoping you did because I do like you too”.
Second time of the same day, Wooyoung ran off words, Junho was right. Taecyeon bit his low lip, expected something from the short boy, but the poor soul was lost so deeply in his own thoughts.
“I went to Incheon to see Jay… I didn’t know what else to do, I was so confuse. I didn’t know what I was feeling for you was actually … more than friendship or bromance, like Jay told me.”Taecyeon laughed, Wooyoung’s heart felt warm again. “So… Would you accept my apologies?”
“You like me”, Wooyoung repeated out loud, Taecyeon nodded.
“Like… you like me… a lot”.
“Yes.”
“But no friend’s kind of care or love”
“No, beyond”
“What kind of love are we talking about?” Wooyoung didn’t want to risk his feelings again and fall down in depression again. “So you want to…”
“Kiss you, hug you, and hold you tight when you’re watching that scary show.” Taecyeon was cheesy but that was one of the things Wooyoung love of him, so those words felt like fresh air and Wooyoung could breathe again. “But, before we go much further with words, I want to try something”.
He leaned closer to Wooyoung, his hand touching Wooyoung’s neck, little by little his lips started so caress lightly Wooyoung’s lips. Taecyeon was being so gently and perhaps it was little too much, either way, Wooyoung didn’t seem to care. He closed his eyes, moving his lips along with Taecyeon’s. He wrapped his waist as Taecyeon kissed him with more passion. It was his first kiss with a dude, he thought it was going to be awkward and, for no reason, dirty. He thought wrong. It felt right like it was something he born to do.
“Nice”, whispered Taecyeon kissing Wooyoung’s cheek who let out a gasp. “Can we take this to the next level?”
“Taecyeon, let’s keep ourselves in THIS level, you pervert whore”. Taecyeon bite Wooyoung’s shoulder in sign of protest. “Only for now”.
“How much is now?”
“I don’t know”
“One day?”
“Taecyeon”
“A few hours?”
“Just kiss me again and we will see, okay?”
“Deal”
Second kiss, Wooyoung lied down in his bed, Taecyeon was next to him moving his hand over Wooyoung’s chest . Sometimes they stopped kissing to look at each other, Wooyoung’s cheek went from pink to red, the same color as Taecyeon’s ears. Sometimes, Taecyeon whispered “Sorry” and Wooyoung replied with “You moron”. At the end, Wooyoung felt safe in Taecyeon’s arms, he found a new home between them where the feeling of losing him again couldn’t come in.
