Resquiat in Pace: Martin Gardner, author of Scientific American column on mathematical puzzles

For those of you you might have been in Book Sect at one time, the annotated Alice in Wonderland that we read was edited (and...um...annotated) by Gardner. I am a huge fan of this man's philosophical outpouring, even when I'm not quite sure that I understand it! He lived a long life though, one filled with mathematics, magic and philosophy.
