Boston bound on Friday...
It was quite the weekend... its been quite the past couple of weeks actually...
I'm sure most of you heard about the Bridge Day tragedy here in southern West Virginia... very sad... however, on a silver lining to it, Lew was quoted all over the Associated Press... papers in France and England even picked up the story... last night at the bar I kept telling him I was buying an international superstar beers... but hopefully its good for his career... but sad that the accident had to happen...
Its funny... why is it when you break up with someone, that you end up spending more time with that person then when you were together? Lew and I saw each other a bunch last week... we spent most of Friday together as well... I'm not even going to bother talking to him about because it'll go no where... but who knows.. I guess for now its alright... but I know eventually it will start to bother me...but for now I'm alright...
We started hanging out Tuesday after I called him when I got into my accident... yep. Car accident... good times. I was on my way to the gym on Tuesday afternoon, it had been pouring all day, I went over a hill, saw a car, hit my breaks to avoid from hitting the car stopped and slammed right into the guardrail... damage quote - $3,000. Ouch. Turns out my tires were completely bald in the front... so $120 later, I have two new front tires but a pretty beat up car... but once I can save up my insurance deductable... hopefully I can get it fixed...
Danny came to visit from DC this weekend... I can't believe we've known each other 10 years... its amazing how old that makes me feel... but then again we both have grown up and helped each other through some of the crazy curveballs life has thrown at us... so it makes me feel a bit on the accomplished side..
I'm driving to Boston Friday afternoon with Liz... should be a good trip... plans to see George, Derrick and Kyra are in the works... I hope I can see a bunch of other people too... I'll have my car with me so I'll be able to go wherever... so just call me! :)
Looking forward to Christmas more and more now... I miss home a lot... but there is so much going on family-wise hopefully it will work itself out...
I've been approached to be a producer in Tulsa... I think I'm turning it down... I have my reasons, most of them personal, but I dont think my heart is in producing right now... then again I dont know what my heart is into as far as work goes... I'm up to working 5 jobs at one station. Anchor, reporter, assignment editor, producer and website manager at the station... so I have no idea what I want to do. And I'm still working at Ruby Tuesday....
I need a vacation... a vacation from life, a vacation from work... just a vacation...
