one down, two to go

This semester has been without a doubt the hardest semester that I have ever had, regardless of the fact that at the moment I am only taking 12 credits (two three hundred level classes and one four hundred level class, that is). Honor Court has definitely killed me in terms of motivation this year, and I have been suffering every day out of lack of enthusiasm for my school work, praying for the year to end soon. As of right now I am happy that I just finished my 7 page paper on Immanuel Kant, quite possibly the most complex philosopher in the history of man, and now I only have one more paper to write (a ten page paper on the importance of memory in Cien años de soledad) and one more exam (a very scary philosophy one at that) to take. I figure I will study for the exam half of the day tomorrow and hopefully get some work done on the paper the other half, that way I will only have a little of each to do on Saturday. I pray to God that I can finish both by Saturday night, as all of my friends and I are going to Don Ho's for karaoke night for my 21st BIRTHDAY!!! I am so excited, I can finally get shwasted! And until then, I can sit her in the library with two of my favorite people in the world, Becky and Mary-Keith and hope that my work will simply do itself.

Oh and by the way, the highlight of tonight's work session: Mary-Keith using her new medicine bottle as a rattle and realizing that she can play the anti-depressants in the amazing band that we are going to create, which Melissa and I have most adequately named "Infant Suspension System". Rock on!
