The public schools in my state shut down pretty early, so I've been out of work since this spring. Fortunately, I managed to file for unemployment before the big rush of applicants, and I don't have many expenses, so I'm not really worried financially. I do miss my job a little, but living with two over-60s and having an immunocompromised boyfriend, it's really for the best I'm not doing it right now.
Without much else to do, this was a big spring and summer for gardening.
I planted lots of herbs this year, which I was glad to do - last year's herb garden was a little haphazard - and I've been doing a lot of putting up. Lots of dried herbs in recycled babyfood jars, and I hope that this will be the year I finally make and freeze Enough Pesto.
I hope everyone else is keeping well. Take care of yourselves.
