My gnome sorcerer (fey bloodline, focused on enchantments and status effects) was just getting to the point where all the shepherding you have to do to keep arcane casters alive and useful at low levels was really paying off, and then she fell out of a flying castle and got burnt up by the castle's irate owner's pet dragon. Dangit, I had plans for that girl! She never even got to use her tricked-out Terrible Remorse spell.
