DIO's new album DICTATOR review
Ok, I'll write the review while listening to the songs. Here we go. please, don't let me down, guys!!
1) Haunting: And it sounds haunting! Love the piano intro so far. It got kind of techno now, but it's ok. And here are the guitars, I LOVE THIS SONG. Mikaru's vocals are great as always. Very good choice of opening song for the album. I'll give it an 8.5/10
2) Splendid World: Fast paced song. Too many growls, I'm not loving it. Two possibilities. Either this is a filler songs, all the albums have them, or it's a headbanging song. Or both at the same time. I'll give it a 5/10
3) GOD Forsaken: I've always loved this song, and the remake, I'm loving it too. 9/10
4) Silence of Sorrow: Piano intro, love it. Soft vocals, I appreciate that xD, I'm not such a fan of growls. If they ever make a video for this song, they should film it in a church O_o. The chorus is great. Nice, nice indeed. 8.5/10
5) Garasu no umi: Pretty good old song. 8,5/10
6) Day after day: Amazing guitar intro. Mikaru's voice control is more than precise, he doesn't miss one note. And that's what makes a good vocalist. Cool guitar solo. Old great song, 9/10
7) INSTRUMENT OF HELL: More growls -____-. Shutting up, the chorus is great! Freaking amazing solo *___*. 8.5/10
8) Dokusai: Growls and more growls. Not for me, so it's a 6/10
9) Last Dance: Lovely slow old song. 8/10
10) ... dan atama dai ha darega tameni yure ru: Screams, growls, a mess of guitars. DO NOT WANT. I don't see the difference between this song and Splendid wold. And yeah, Mikaru's been possesed by the devil. 5/10
For the entire album INCLUDING the old songs, I'll rate it an 8,5. But, out of the new songs, I only really liked Haunting and INSTRUMENT OF HELL, so it'd be a 6,5/10. They could've done better, really. More melodic songs next time, please? *puppy eyes*
